I could not stand looking at the slobber coming out of the exhaust after a rain.
So, I read this thread. I had Folger 13% containers and now life is good. ;-)
Do not be afraid to rebuild the airpack. Just get the kit off eBay fairly cheaply and follow the TM instructions. All you need is a small brake cylinder hone and some patience.
The only problem I found was the piston cylinder end gasket was too small. Make another with gasket paper from the...
If the plug on the rear of the air pack is frozen in place, not unusual, you can take the air line loose at the rear of the piston can and insert air tool oil there.
My first post in this thread was in May 2007. I cannot tell you how pleased I am with the jatonka spin on filters. I have all of them. Never a problem and easy to install.
Thank you, once again John Tennis for your efforts and our good luck.
There is not a lot of room to work in. A large crow foot wrench can loosen the cable housing from the adapter on the engine. Then another large open end wrench can loosen that.
One of the problems is the key ways have to be aligned to fit just right before the assembly can go together on...
OK, I drove the deuce into a tree this afternoon. Nothing serious, I just wrecked two metal corners and uprights.
Now I need a couple of metal corners and uprights, the bow is fine.

It worked, by the way. Thanks again.
I have sold all of the last batch of reinforcement plates I made this Spring.
If there is enough call for more, I could run some more perhaps this Winter.
I have been making them a dozen at a time and basically selling them at my cost.
If you spend a lot of money on the recovery, you will just be out a lot of money on the recovery.
Those have never been released to civilians. Never. It belongs to Uncle Sam who will 'recover' it from you.
I have been toying with changing the oil every couple of years as my trucks normally are driven in parades and such only. They are run every week to operating temp for a bit and then sit.
But, with the spin on filters it is a matter of draining the pan, putting in some oil and changing the...
TNJ Murray has them for $38.50
If the pig tail is not long enough, just splice in some 14 gauge wire. This was extremely easy to install and works great.
For me the instant oil pressure seals the deal on the oil filters. Getting rid of the rusty cans on the fuel filters seals that deal, for sure!
I really am satisfied with mine. I have all five on both my trucks.
