Ack. I just saw this thread. Too bad you didn't have an out in the law like I did. It looks like it's more constraining on the citizens. I would however complain to your city council. Get all the local MV owners together and go and have a sit down. They might adjust the ordinances. You don't...
As to weigh stations, my two long trips to PA and back and other trips around the regions for events saw me running through the weight stations and I was only pulled aside once. That was so they could eyeball the armoured car because they thought it was unusual AND just wanted to ask me...
I will note, that I have even spoken to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration staffers who were unaware of the finer details of the not for profit private trucks. In one instance while trying to deal with the County, I was double checking some notes to make sure the regs hadn't changed got...
This is where knowing the regulations in depth is more appropriate.
Question 21: Does the exemption in §390.3(f)(3) for the ‘‘occasional transportation of personal property by individuals not for compensation nor in the furtherance of a commercial enterprise’’ apply to persons who...
An Air Chisel seems to sometimes make things move that would not otherwise move. The vibrations alone sometimes work. Squirt Truck, a buddy of his and I got some lunnette eyes off some trailers to move them to different heights with an Air Hammer attachment. Just the vibrations on the side of...
Clinto, I just saw this thread. I have some humongus crimpers at work. I can either crimp them here or lend you the tool if you need it for something attached to the truck.
It does AWG 4 up to AWG 0000 iirc.
What about putting the 2nd steering axle in place of the intermediate axle and having the last one fixed? Then you'd just be linking the two and having the second axle turn a smaller amount than the first.
How you get the driveline working on that, I'm not sure.
For a more general example, try your local hairdresser.
It's a term for cut shorter or an example of something that is short.
bob (bŏb)

A small, knoblike pendent object, such as a plumb bob.
A fishing float or cork.
A small lock or curl of hair.

Note the underlined part. In Georgia, there is NO restriction on the use of Antique/Hobby vehicles from use as general transportation. Other states have this provision. My draft of 40-2-77.1 more or less copies from 40-2-77.
for participation in club activities, exhibitions, tours, parades...
Section 5.
Amend 10-1-2.
(5) 'Motor vehicle' means any device or vehicle operated over the public highways and streets of this state and propelled by other than muscular power but does not include traction engines, road rollers, implements of husbandry and other agricultural equipment, and...
'It depends on the section and the code in question. Everyone construes the 14,000 lb limit to be curb weight not GVW. That's how the tag office does it. However, I'd like to remove that constraint so if you have a 1945 civilian Autocar, you can tag it as a historic/antique vehicle.
And if you...
We've had tracked vehicles before. Other states allow halftracks with rubber band tracks. Frankly, I'm sure the halftrack guys would LOVE to be able to run their trucks down the road on occasion. If only to have some fun.
Tracked vehicles don't in fact cause damage to the if they have rubber...
Note, the Historic Military license plate has NO limiting age. You get your hands on a prototype FMTV or one you rebuild, and it looks reasonably well (reasonably construed). The historic condition bit is to separate the historic MVs from the others. A jeep painted up in pink isn't going to be...
Section 4.
Add this section:
40-2-77.1
In order to promote the remembrance of Georgia veterans and their sacrifice, there shall be issued, beginning January 1, 2011, a special license plate promoting historic military vehicles with a special fund to be devoted to Veteran’s Service in Georgia...
Section 3.
Amend this 40-2-77 (b)
(b) Upon application, registration, and payment of an annual registration fee of $20.00, the commissioner shall issue a special license plate, as described in this Code section, for every antique or hobby or special interest vehicle within the state which is a...
How's this look so far:

And
