There was also a Jeep and a Dodge version.

    Pinion Brakes

The T/C brake is a parking brake not an emergency brake. A pinion brake would be a nice upgrade from the factory parking brake-just in case needed once.

    Early vs late NDT tires

All the ones i've seen are Denmans and 50+ years old. Wallace Wade makes new ones but they are right at $300 each.

    Early vs late NDT tires

Another thought; NDT's (that aren't 50 years old) are VERY expensive!

    Towing a deuce??

You know that M59 is sitting about 2.5 hours from where that trip started in MN.:driver:

    Early vs late NDT tires

There isn't an early/late difference. Two totally different tire types altogether. The sharp cornered oned are NDT's, The rounded ones are NDCC's.

    Towing a deuce??

A deuce on a gooseneck is probably exceeding the capacity of a 3/4 ton truck.

    Dual Master Cylinder conversion done

Well It is done for the most part. Removed all components and installed the master cylinder from a Chevy pickup. Currently waiting on a brake line set from MM but looks good so far. Should go good with the front disks on it now.

    66 Cents/mile to WY

It's actually a 1962 W/W, hardtop, heater, detroit locker, highway gears, radials. I installed front disks right before we left GA. Now I am hooking up the dual M/C and getting ready to go.

    66 Cents/mile to WY

I need 1 hub (front are already disks). I can use mine but it would be nice to be mobile. Just let me know. BTW, If you go back buy the 2 rear axle shafts; just let me know how much.

    Rallies, Meets, etc...

Clinto, you better tell MACCUS to put it on his calendar. My leave chit is standing ready to send (just needs to be a little closer to the date).

Saw hmmwv's at NAS Jax DRMO

If they get one from the govt, when done they are to be turned into GSA. They (GSA) are supposed to demil them prior to public sale. So no; none will be "legally" for sale in the future.:cookoo:

    Master Cylinder Rebuild

You know you can install split master cylinders from a late 70's early 80's chevy truck cheap and update the safety of the system while doing it? I'll dig out my stuff tonight and find the info (doing this is my weekend project anyway).

    Rallies, Meets, etc...

You can also go into the rallies section of the forum and figure out which ones are when usually 10-11 months in advance.

Anyone know where this yard is?

You know I read that, what is a 17 pounder? All the artillery I've seen is by size like 75mm or 3". I thought the weights went away after the civil war????

This is sad, these trucks should be rescued..

If you read all the comments there's a few clues to the location. Sounds like it's in the middle of nowhere. He said it's 20 miles to the nearest pavement and is at an abandoned gold mine. There are also some interesting (funny) comments on the trucks relating to years/engines/etc. It is an...
