So I had a little work party at my house this past Sunday and had a great crew of guys that braved the cold windy day to come help get some things started.

My goal is under 10k for this build. That might get me a a foundation up here in the North East to meet code. Not mention the property tax increase I would get nailed with.

Will do, Ill let you know when the first big work week happens. My schedule is usually so busy that most of the work gets done from 8-10pm after the kids are in bed.
I bought a new dressed cab for a m917A1 to replace the little bit rust cab of my m916 and get a more modern layout as well as an ac blower already setup inside.
I started stripping the inside of the new cab today to get and idea of what needed to go and where we are going to cut it open to...
Project " Honey Badger " M916 to MRAP / HET build thread
So I am building and MRAP-ish style truck out of my m916 and have started to get the ball rolling over the past month. I wanted to get a thread started to track my progress. and keep everything together in one place. I hand drew some...

Does anyone know which of the neihoff dual voltage alternators will fit on the cummins 400 in the M916. I know there are several different models out there now.
No gun turret, maybe a hatch so the kids can wave a people during parades. Frame will stay stock length
Based on measurements winch can fit but I will need to cut out and weld in an 8" dog house to cover it. It's 22" tall from where it mounts to the frame.

So I have started to gather parts for my next build and was hoping for a little photoshop help.
I am taking my m916 and building a HET style roofline for the cab and an MRAP style body for the rear.
I will build the cab roof similar to the member here who did the "5-Ton HET" cab The back of...
I'm more than happy to give you the contact info of the shipper. I'm not sure what he's using for a truck and trailer, but he may have room. You would have to act fast though. He is picking up my cab on Saturday or Sunday and delivering on Monday sometime.
So If my truck doesn't sell soon, I'm planning a big project for it. The current CAT 7155 runs great but it is a lot of shifting. I want to start thinking about my long term options for a replacement automatic transmission down the road. I would like a 6 or 7 speed. I know the HD4070 was put...
I was wondering if you could help with with the front drums on my m916. I have the front drum/hub assembly removed to take to the machine shop to machine off the required material to fit my HEMTT wHeels with 16.00r20 tires. Is there a process for separating the hub from the drum to make it more...
Just wait it out if you got a good deal and be a little patient, get it home do some safety checks and PM services on it to make sure its safe to be on the road, get a temp registration from DMV which just requires a bill of sale that will last you 20 days. By then you will almost be into...
If you want to go the NH route, you can do it, but you will need to arm yourself with a little knowledge and be prepared to explain it to your town hall. While NH does not require a title for vehicles of a certain age, it does require a title for anything with 3 or more axles. If your bill of...
We used them in the 75th Ranger Regiment.
RSOV
Ranger Special Operations Vehicle.
Brings back some memories, I'd love to have one.
Had a 240B mount on the passenger seat. Hood area.
We used to load them in the back of chinooks and C-130
