I checked the older version of the manual. TM 9-2320-209-20-3--1.
The illustrations are the same and the proceedure is the same.
They do not specify a torque and instruct the following:
pg 804 step 4
Using 9/16-inch socket wrench, screw on 12 nuts and lockwashers (6) and
tighten them...
I add 8 ounces of outboard oil to 10 gallons and whatever Power Service recommends per gallon.
edit....
I have run my deuce over 7K miles in the last 2.5 years without issue.

No Criticism intended.
I was suggesting you find some of the other threads about this for further information on the subject. The more you know the better.
RL
I would suggest reading this study. It has been posted before.
The issue is lubricity. Sulfur is not a lubricant. The process of removing the sulfur in diesel destroys the lubricity of lowe sulfur diesel fuel. Original fleet testing proved this with modern injector pumps being destroyed by the...
Jatonka has the manual for all the IPs for the deuce LDT engines including the G model.
There are illustrations and information as to how to turn up your fuel.
I hope you have your EGT gauge installed.

Boost is mearured on the intake side. Pull the big tube that runs to the intake from the turbo and drill and tap it and then clean it up and put it back on.
EGT is in the exhaust stream You can go in the manifold, or else after the turbo. I did a study on the differences in temperatures...
I would ask the previous owner if he reset the timing for the turbo.
That would lead to power problems if it were not set properly.
Anywhere post turbo is ok for the Boost gauge.

Specifically, you can get all the answers from two TMs which are the ones I carry with me in the truck.
TM 9-2320-209-20-3-1 TM 9-2320-206-20-3-2
The information needed to pull the drum and hub is found on Page 311 of TM 9-2320-206-20-3-2
Brake service is at Page 63.
The newer manuals in...
On top of the fuel tank where the power comes to the tank pump there is a cover with three nuts. They are 3/8 I think but do not quote me on that.
Take them off and then the cover lifts off and the fuse holder is underneath.
RL
The 800 series transfer case has a sprag and you would be going backwards in technology if you were to change from the air shift type you have now.
It may be expensive to rebuild the transfer case but the value of the truck is such that it is definitely worth it.

Both the winch repair manual for the deuce and also the one for the 5 tons 54-800-939 are up on Jatonkas's site
TM 9-3830-501 Gar Wood 20 and 45 ton with level winder
TM 9-3830-206-34P for the M35 front and rear winches with level winders
Thanks to JimK for having the 501 TM which is a...
On Jatonka's site in the Deuce TM section, there are three manuals at the bottom of the list for the older M34-35s. Included in the second one of three is the diagrams for the converter and how it connects and also how to test it.
Page 180 is where it starts but the entire section that portion...
I would guess that there is a correlation between the standard pto speed of 540 that is prevalent on agricultural equipment and the pto speed of the power take off of the 818. With that in mind you would figure that the rpm would be set to take advantage of the torque of the engine as you can...
I use a 3 stone hone. You do not want crosshatching like a cylinder wall in an engine.
Stay in one place, move a half a stone length, stay there, and then continue moving along the bore to the end and then back the same way. This gives a nice 'polish' to the bore.
I use a light lubricant...
I found everything I needed at NAPA.
Be sure to get the short ferrules. There are longer ones but they will not allow the hex fitting to catch the threads.
RL
The plastic lines are readily available from any auto parts store that has airbrake plastic line. If you take the piece off and bring it with you a good counter person should be able to sell you what you need. You can re-use the hex nuts and only need new ferrules and tubing. It is advisable to...
I just did some serious digging and there is a manual for a winch with a level winder available on LOGSA.
TM 9-3830-206-34P
This covers the winch used on the M44 series which is the 2.5 ton truck but it does cover the level winder assembly. This is strictly a parts manual.
I will keep...
