    M35A3 - No Start - Lost Prime

Open peacock valve at bottom of fuel filter and pressurize tank until fuel runs out. Close valve and give it a try. This worked for me. if fail, it could be the "rack" on top of engine. A cat mechanic buddy of mine told me that mis adjusted rack will cause hard or no starts. pete

Turbo Tim and A3 visit Hoefler

Turbo Tim bought an A3 from me last winter. I picked this A3 up from GL as a truck was a "did not start" unit. She looked barely used. Outside of the missing drive shafts and blown head gasket, she seemed to be a good truck. Not wanting another project, I sold it to Tim. He got her running in...

    Lets See Your 5-Ton!

RedBull Wrecker and M932. I work both of these on my land. Recently popped a front tire on the wrecker when I drove over a buckthorn stump. Used the crane to assist in the tire change out. Pete

Winter storage ,keep the critters out of the cab.

I put about 5 mothballs inside of a cheesecloth-wound it up like a ball. Made several of these and hung them like Christmas ornaments all over my trucks. I had also placed loose mothballs under the trucks in an effort to trip up the rescals before they climb aboard. The one truck that I didnt...

    Our New Departmental MRAP

I get it. Given the state of our nation, perhaps her citizens might be thinking a what if is actually something other than catching bad guys. The optics are not very good and may create more critical thinkers. I can see these as more of a National Guard tool as opposed to local law enforcement...

    Our New Departmental MRAP

And there is one instance and reason for a vehicle like this. Thanks for responding in a technical way. Almost forgot to add the other reason for my need of an MK48-because I can...unless a group in a Swat vehicle says I can't. Pete

    Our New Departmental MRAP

Worked with Police when I was a volunteer fireman. The Swat truck they had never left the station outside of a parade roll. When out of the station on training runs, they found it created issues in the community-like lit up phones when it rolled. My service as a fireman was in a community where...

    A3 transmission questions

Standard A3 tire outside diameter is about 43". So, 43 x 3.14 (pi)=135.03" or 11.25 foot. So for every wheel revolution, the truck moves forward 11.25 feet. Engine at 2,700 RPM and 1: 1 ratio to rear end and 6.72 rear end ratio, we get 401.78 revolutions of the wheel at 2,700 RPM. 401.25...

    Oshkosh MK48, any experience/owners?

My MK48 was originally hooked to a 14 trailer. The unit came out of Jacksonville. I have recently swapped out the 14 with an 18 trailer. Unit was fresh rebuild and works perfect. I drive mine at 40 MPH and enjoy the ride. Pete
