I believe he makes them in batches... Did he say prior to ordering it that they were in stock? What delivery schedule was promised and how long has it been?

Wow, that's stunning ignorance! If I were a mechanic and didn't know, I'd refer the customer to the engine manufacturer's website, or the oil website.
When you order oil, make sure it's not just single weight, but that it has the correct rating... it should be CF-2 (the "-2" is for 2-cycle)...
Wow!
I have only a few pieces of advice to contribute...
-- I would try to locate my parts by NSN number through a good MV parts and surplus dealer, like Dave Walker, who has access to "the system" to locate surplus. Going through civilian channels will be futile or expensive.

Wow, I like it! Mine will be quite different...
I want a "short queen" sized bed (typical RV size) in the front behind the tractor. Then the bathroom in the middle area to one side. In the back on one side there will be a kitchen counter with stove, etc. and on the other side, a kitchen...
Great idea! ....If they were willing to customize, I wonder if they would have put white pointers in the gauge? The orange is the only thing I don't like....

Hey Group,
Does anyone know of a rebuild kit part number, or civilian replacement part number, for the emergency air relay valve for the 6-ton single axle semi-trailers like the M146? Have you replaced this valve?
The valve itself is part number MS 53004-1, NSN 2530-00-118-8589

I did not use a weld bushing, I just drilled and tapped the exhaust manifold directly.... It's like 1/4" thick where I drilled it.
Yes the 10' kit is plenty long... [thumbzup]

The hunting idle before it conked out is a symptom of air in the system... So you probably just bled the air out and it was good to go.
Glad it's running again... [thumbzup]

There's several thousand deuce owners here who are familiar with the multi-fuel engine and can give basic advice... Pulling the "glow plugs" and injectors is way off base for a likely air-in-the-fuel-system scenario.
We're not trying to 'rattle' anyone, but folks ought to offer advice where...
Personally I'd pick my 6" pipe wrench over Vise-Grips, because the pipe wrench bites down progressively the harder you pull. It has never taken 'no' for an answer, and doesn't mind a piece of pipe to extend it's handle.... 8-)
As soon as I lift off the stencil, I set it on a sheet of cardboard and wipe it with a paint thinner soaked rag to clean it off.... Mine last forever this way. [thumbzup]

dmetalmiki, what kind of batteries were these? As far as I know, our 6TL batteries have vented caps.... I don't see how anything other than maybe a sealed "maintenance free" battery could explode. If you are not using a military type battery, maybe the vibration of your MVs is causing shorted...
I'm ignorant on this subject, but aren't they just paper circles? Cut your own... You can get 'post-it note' type adhesive from an office supply store if they're supposed to be self-sticking. My guess is the reason they don't want it run without paper in it is so ink doesn't foul the backing...
I'm not giving advice here, just saying that if I saw that on my truck and I knew I'd been idling it too much without driving it to get it hot, I'd take it out and drive it up the Cajon Pass and burn that all out before I tore anything apart. Mike's advice above is the prudent course, that I...
FYI.... eBay seller '2003viperkillingcobra' regularly has rebuild kits for the Zenith Mechanovac governor speed sensing unit. Look up his seller name or just search for "mechanovac". With that kit and a Holley kit for an 885FFG carburetor (to cannibalize for the diaphragm) you have everything...
Around here, "TSP" says "Phosphate Free" right on the front of the box.... I was walking past at OSH one day and it caught my eye, I said to my girlfriend, "WTF? How can you have Tri-Sodium PHOSPHATE that is phosphate free?" You used to know what it was, now they only tell you what it ISN'T.
What do you mean by 'lately'? We won a bunch of trailers there last week, M101s, M146, M105.... EUCs just cleared, picking up next week. I was there last week, the lot is full and the place was running full speed.
Maybe you're not looking in the right place....
