I'm jealous. If that had been at Bragg I would've been in the running with you.
Are you planning to restore it or part it out? Or does that depend on how much is missing? ;)
A 2013 F-150 shouldn't break a sweat pulling either one of those trailers. You will be pulling them nose down, however. I would say that the 2 hour difference isn't a big deal. You're going to spend more time than that waiting for a gate pass, finding your way to the DRMO lot, and dealing...
What do you bet those are 55-56" between the wheel wells. This is more or less what I've been wanting to strip my HDT trailer down into and it seems that 56" is about all the space you can get between fenders. I assume it's because all of them are made to mimic the track of HMMWV tires. It...
As long as you provide plenty of pictures and do quality work I'm sure you won't get hassled too much. [thumbzup]
Welcome aboard! It's always good to see more members in the Mid-Atlantic/Southeast.
My bad, I knew that it was US-29 but I hadn't reminded my fingers recently. :)
But in my defense, I feel like most guys coming from NC will be on US-29 or I-81 for a least some part of their journey. More to the point...I'm only going to link up with other drivers in either Martinsville...
Which way are most of you NC guys planning to head up? North on I-29 through Danville or are you heading US-220 to I-81 through Martinsville and Roanoke? As long as you've got "turnt up" A2s maybe I can fall in behind one of you in my pickup and let you know if any pieces fall off. ;)
I have no information about this subject, but let me know if you ever need help cussing at a problem that won't go away. I'll drive up the mountain to stand around and be frustrated on your behalf. 8)
I don't have a clue about answering your question, but welcome to the site.
Ginning up more interest might motivate some more answers or jog some members' memories loose. What are you looking up the information for? Are you doing a restoration/engine swap or just curious for historical value?
It needs some A1/A2 tires to match your tow vehicle! (Not that they would help with the height situation.)
On a serious note, I like the way that sits and looks. I think this project is on the road to greatness.
