Do you have any detailed pictures of the cut quality on your parts? I had some knife blanks laser cut at a local shop for my dad and I thought the cut quality was terrible. The kerf is very small and the interior hex corners are relatively precise, but it kinda looks like the beam wandered all...
Hard Head,
Could someone use your mounting plate to fit between the frame rails and attach an electric winch upside down underneath the frame?? I'm not familiar with the interference of that front cross member.
If you could do that without the frame extensions and maybe keep the price down...
Just as a bit of market feedback, I would be way more interested in this if the frame extensions were part of the sales pitch. I've been keeping my eyes peeled for a large piece of heavy channel or plate that I could use as a mounting bracket (rear mount under my bed) but haven't yet looked...
SUPER COOL example! I can't believe someone has a mule with a recoilless rifle and it's covered in elephant water cans and birdseed. Looks like it would make an excellent complement to the Jeep cave...
Just so you'll know, that graphic is frequently used as encouragement to feed the MV imagery fetish(es) of the membership here, and does not actually mean that people's questions are "worthless." In fact, it's very rare to see someone giving another member serious guff while using it.

...I...I'm not the only one?!? *eyes fill with tears of relief*
But back on topic: That's looking great so far Rkrug, I'm looking forward to seeing the final product!
Guyfang also makes some good points. If you can't find a model number, NSN, or even data plate, start getting part numbers off the components inside the genset shroud. Start looking for make & model of the engine, generator head, speed controller, voltage regulator, etc. Most of the...
It's definitely going to be a 24v system. And adding pictures of data plates will help members here give you better advice.
Where did you pick it up from?
I've found this a very interesting thread to read through. I appreciate all the seasoned input that's been displayed here. Thank you guys...I'm sure it swells the pride of more small tire A0/A1 owners than just myself.
This is about as good of a recommendation as I would expect any business to give. And since I trust that Jwade gives it to us straight, I think this is a significant endorsement. Perhaps my experience was atypical (or it's just that no one wants to ship trailers, I don't know).
I agree with this.
So that I wouldn't discover any gremlins on the road (my kind of luck), I had my M929 hauled by a local paving company that I knew wasn't real busy. They've got plenty of capacity to haul large items, and at the time I figured much of that capacity was idle. Mine wasn't on...
