I like that you have a pair of canvas wings to expand your covered area, but there seems to be no pitch to it at all. How does this work with rain? I like your setup and would like to do something similar (permanently mount equipment to the trailer while creating "living space" off the sides)...
I'm 2 for 2 on meeting exceptional people through steelsoldiers, and both of them will be in attendance. Hopefully I can up the count and keep the same level of success at the Denton rally!
I had the same experience when asking buddies (Army) about LMTV or M939-series trucks. After disregarding their advice, my M929 experience has been a blast...BUT that's because it fits my plans of hauling scrap metal to the junkyard and stealing manure from local farms. I would be very...
Welcome from the Mid-Atlantic. Make sure to post your M1101 over in the 'Military Trailers' thread when you get a chance (and as you get it squared away for camping!): http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?52277-Show-us-your-Military-Trailers
*Full disclosure: I love the idea of an...
Thanks for 23-1!
25-2 is definitely what I wrote down, but I can take another look at it. All my MWO tags are hand written with an engraving pen so I may be mistaken.
I hate to resurrect this thread after almost a year and a half, but I wasn't able to use the link in post #20 to find every MWO posted on my door frame. Did one of those publications have a complete listing of MWOs and I'm just too dumb to see it?
I'm still looking for MWOs ending...
I think you'll find a lot more support to keep it a 6x6 and extend the cab. In fact, I'll be the first to say that it sounds like you are working on an excellent concept.
Congrats on the purchases and welcome to the addiction! Are you planning to use the M105 bed after you extend the cab and bob it? Or keep it as a trailer and cut down/replace the bed with a more camping appropriate option?
Also, let's get on posting those pics, buddy...
I have nothing useful to add about shipping it back, I just wanted to say congrats on winning a super cool MV and best of luck on getting it home and squared away!
Virginia DMV didn't like my FL title, either. I was basically told to give it a paint job and title is as a homebuilt. I'm more frustrated with the DMV, though.
This sounds familiar but I can't picture where it is on my gen. But do generator emissions fall within the purview of a building inspector's authority? I wouldn't be surprised either way, but then I've go zero experience working with one in a residential setting.
maxtor - A pickup bed would be an oddity, for sure. Do you have an M116A3 chassis that you're looking to put to use or do you just not like the flat bed + fenders that come on the M116A3 originally?
Seems like it might be easiest to build your own sidewalls for it if what you want to do is...
