Congrats! Appears to be in SUPER condition, too.
I think you're demonstrating a very healthy understanding of what you're getting into by declaring it your "1st MV" right from the introduction thread. From the look of that smile, your wife will probably need her own before too long anyway.
You do have to be careful and pay attention if you're trying to juggle several 'least expensive' options at a time...particularly when the auction times are being extended sporadically.
All the same, I was looking at those same MEPs. When do you think you'll be picking them up? I'm tempted to...
I didn't have the pleasure of knowing Dudley, but I want his family to know that they are being lifted up.
“The Lord bless you and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
26 The Lord lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace.” - Num 6:24-26
If you're not former military or federal civil servant you'll need a 5-day background check before you schedule your pick-up. Then you'll need to schedule pick-up with the GL agent/DRMO office.
Most importantly, get there early. I recommend showing up at 5:30-45a and standing in line. And...
I'm very interested to see if this works for you. I'm currently making sidewalls for an M116A3 out of aluminum storage containers...but haven't figured out how to cap the top. If PVC works, I'll probably go that route.
Only if you agree to post pictures for your fellow green-addicts. Otherwise you'll probably run into a lot of problems, busted knuckles and shameful feelings of isolation and regret. I'm pretty sure that's in a TM somewhere...
This is a question that comes to my mind. I know M809 and early M939s both used the NHC250, but do they have the same airflow and radiator on them? It seems like there's a lot more grill space on a M939 nose, so what are your thoughts on whether the M809 front end can provide adequate cooling...
Do these have the older 8 lug pattern that is interchangeable with HMMWV wheels? You mentioned Ford, and I've read their newer 8-lug pattern isn't compatible with older hub spacing. I'm interested if they'd fit on an M116A3.
Are you towing the Pioneer tool trailer or will you have hitch space available? I don't have any current plans, but I figure it may open a possibility for someone.
