I registered mine for 17900 and have it inspected at my regular inspection station. I would offer that if you use yours for hauling and are conceivably doing anything commercial you need to go another route than Historical.
The rules in NYS are 'guidelines' which means they are such for us...
I would use an inverter to charge the 12 volt batteries and use a self resetting circuit breaker in line with the inverter's output to the batteries to limit amperage to the 12 volt batteries. Deep cycle batteries do not like high amperage charging and this would serve to limit the initial...
I would also suggest that you make sure your rear brakes are adjusted
up. If too much fluid goes to one circuit of the brakes, you can trigger the light.
Another possibility is that the E-brake pedal is not returning to keep the light off and when you brake and let up and brake the pedal is...
I can see it now, CARNAC taking the CHoW and kids out for dinner in the Abrahms to some classy restaurant....I wonder if Valet parking is safe, or if the indoctrination for the operations of an M1A1 will take longer than dinner??????
Agreed Gimpy on the water in the airpack from the air system.
I would point out that the entire air portion of the air pack
is aluminum and very resitent to corrosion and it is
sludge that is the buildup problem from moist air.
I would be concerned for the leak from the boot of the MC
as...
I would request the seller register the truck and then sell the truck to you with the GA paperwork. That should satisfy the LA motor vehicle folks. It would be no different than buying a pickup truck the same way that was the same vintage.

Unfortunately there has been no progress made with the host organization at the
fairgrounds where the event was held previously so we have not been
able to coordinate an event again this year.
As frustrating as this is, the difficulty lies in the details and although
there was great hope...
If the airpack needs to be rebuilt, you can bet that the
master is the same. I say this because moisture
and crud are the enemies of both
and if it is in the airpack, it got there from the master cylinder.
This is all in terms of the brake fluid side.
Airpacks also suffer the same problem...
You have to take out the 8 or so 1/4 inch bolts holding the rear transmission cover on.
You may have to loosen the front cover to allow it to
come out from under it, if I am not mistaken.
Adjustment is as Gimpy says. lengthen or sherten as needed.
If you have a Bench seat, you have to be...

I re-read your first post. I would suggest that perhaps in the process of
breaking the spring hanger and other parts,
the cab floor has shifted, not the transfercase.
I would adjust the linkage on the transfer case and see how things go.
Since you do not have any driveline vibration, I...
Agreed on the amount of power generated.
I am working on my memory and I am not as young
as I used to be and if that is a cop out, well, it is.
I would contend that a Multi could probably sustain somewhat
more than the estimated 225 HP that the LDS in the
5 ton series could produce, but...
From what I have gathered in the forum over the last couple of years,
the rotating assembly is not the weak point of the multifuel.
When you increase power, you inherently increase the temperatures
inside the combustion chamber of the diesel engine.
That is why folks use a pyrometer to...
It is odd that all the rest of the manuals in the series are classified A for public distribution but the Operator's manual -10 is not. Leave it to the military to do something like that.
