Finally the transformation of the M929 is done, M929 now looks like a M930A1. The spare tire mount was the biggest job, adding the 2nd valve for the winch was not bad, just took a lot of time.
The bigger tires added about 7.5 mph to the truck
You do not turn the screw part you just turn the two nuts. You are going to need to open open the pump and replace the screw.
What it has down is shut the fuel off in the pump. That is my understanding of how it works.
I know of three trucks that do not have ABS or an air dryer, one is in my barn. The Navy and USMC trucks for the most part did not get the ABS upgrade.
I was having problems with the condensers going out all the time. Fixed that problem and I think it does run better with the MV-161A.
No new plug wires.
I just did the MV-161A on my M37. Very easy to install just put it on and set the timing.
1. Just hook the two leads to the coil, red + and black - no need to lengthen them.
2. The part that goes on the rotor shift does have flat spaces on it.

I hang a boarding ladder off of my tailgate on the M923A1 and it is getting hard for me to lower and raise with the ladder on it, then I saw this post(Thanks to TwistedOaks Great idea)!! I did the mod to the tailgate and it works great. :naner:
