    M1009 Little Red Riding Hood.

Some progress on the military markings. There are four layers of markings and I wanted to preserve all of them. Three are readable already and identify the unit the M1009 was in service.

Off topic - sorry. Rick, do you know what the marking on the transfer case of my M1009 means? It says „CA“ and I didn’t see that on any other CUCV transfer case yet.

Doesn’t look too bad to be honest. But stock rims rock most.

    Starter motor loosens recurrently - M1009 / Chevrolet Blazer K5 6,2 Diesel

German M1008 and Barrman are well experienced and they know what they are talking about. Do what they told you and never look back - your starter problem will be solved.

    M1009 Little Red Riding Hood.

I cleaned the tailgate markings on mine the best I could. On the drivers side it was marked with four different unit markings during service. The second marking which was marked over twice says 708 B1 413. The drinker side says HHC 3 and above that B-1.

    M1009 Little Red Riding Hood.

Looks great. Not many know that the bumpers and the grille was originally painted in green and not in three color camouflage. I myself didn’t know that. Did you think about adding authentic markings on the front bumper and tailgate? We thought about that already because you know where this M1009...

    M1009 Little Red Riding Hood.

The paint job looks great. I can't see any overspray or painted seals. That is what a quality paint job should look like. The CARC looks awesome. Good job, Rick. Little camouflage riding hood.

    Just got a M1009! What to check/change/replace?

Nice! Welcome to the club! Check the harmonic balancer. The rubber probably is cracked. If it comes apart it causes a catastrophic engine failure. Also check out the military TMs. Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪

This will be a high quality paint job! You can also paint the cowl screen separately from all sides and mount it afterwards. Just thinking.

Maybe all his stuff comes with some hidden gold nuggets. Just guessing.

Well, no! $14K is far from realistic. My offer would be $6.5K.

Improvement of the rear wheel arches - M1009 / Chevrolet Blazer K5 Diesel

Clean it, seal it with fluid film and you are good to go. There will always be mud, dirt and every sort of grime in these areas. That is normal. Clean it once every year and spray some fresh Fluid film on and you will have no issues at all.

    Mysterious M1009 part. Sincgars bracket?

Guyfang, we are getting close. Appreciate your support. I still don’t see it in the TMs. There is a some sort of similar bracket shown in the TM that’s mounted on the dash bracket. But it is different to the bracket shown in my pictures. Maybe I should sell this bracket to a military museum -...

    Mysterious M1009 part. Sincgars bracket?

Thanks a lot, Guyfang. Still no match. Maybe I should sell this bracket as very unique special item - only produced once for a secret mission.
