    M1078/M1079 for overland camper?

Subscribed to the thread. Looks like you have a great truck to start with. I will be following your build as I have been thinking about doing this but possibly on the M-1082 trailer or on the truck. Lots of room to mount a generator behind the fuel tank or battery box. Learned a lot through the...

    M932A2 and Mk-48 Cab conversion

Nick, I did not realize you were this far with the expedition vehicle. I think I will have to stop by and see it this weekend. It is coming along nicely. Great fabrication work.

How practial is a LMTV as a daily driver ?

In Phoenix the only thing that would not be practical as a daily driver is finding a parking spot. It would not be bad if you do not mind parking out near the end of the parking lot. But if you go to the places that do not have much parking, it may be an issue. The trucks do great in traffic...

Need M-1082 trailer transported Ft Hood/Austin to Arizona

The troop seats do fit in this trailer just like on the M-1078. Would be nice to find a reasonable priced set of seats.

    Working on the M1078 LMTV

Now I wish Hooks was closer to me. When I was in Texas it seemed like everything good was going through in Barstow. Now that I am in Arizona, seems like Hooks has everything I would like to buy :(

    Working on the M1078 LMTV

If you place this on your positive post the red LED should come on showing your batteries are good. Your also supposed to be able to put this in each battery cell and see if it is good by displaying a red LED. I read this in the -10 the other day.

    LMTV Upgrades

A fairing in the roof of the cab would probably help with fuel mileage so your not pushing wind against the flat surface. Would be nice to have brackets so you could take it off if you did not see a significant increase in mileage.

    Working on the M1078 LMTV

Mark, you going to make sure it runs before investing all that money in tires? Seems like NDT will have it running in no time once the batteries are charged up.

    M932A2 and Mk-48 Cab conversion

Glad that they were finally able to get things done right. Not sure why they would even question a Arizona title. Very different than a SF-97. I guess they never wanted to change after the whole SF-97 last year. When I went through Gulfway they were very quick. But since they are just a broker...

    M932A2 and Mk-48 Cab conversion

Here are some photos of a LVRS cab - I think this would be a good option to do in the cab to make more room. I had the truck at a show last week, and put a For Sale sign in the window, as my wife want to have a baby, and thinks this project would never be done. She is right, there is always...

    Starting my M146 Build

Thank you. I sold it before I finished the ceiling. I was going to use the same material that I did on the walls on the ceiling. I think another good option would be to use thin aluminum sheets and rivet them to the beams and then add trim.

    M932A2 and Mk-48 Cab conversion

I agree with Tornadogt that is could be done. You may want to find photos of a PLS cab. They had the majority of the center removed, but with the equivalent of a small console in the center for the steering shaft to go through. You may want to put the reservoir up at the same height. You would...

    M932A2 and Mk-48 Cab conversion

Small items that I worked on lately Only did a little work on the truck last weekend, and will do some this Sunday. I pulled the double check valve for the trailer as it was feeding air back through the Johnson brake vent when the normal brakes were applied. Blew air through all directions...
