I was at Ft Riley a week ago to help with a pick up and they had easily 100 M939 series trucks right around us there for future sales.
CO national guard still owns many, don't know when they may get rid of those.
The truck already grabs air for the engine at the top of the cab and exits the exhaust at top of the cab.
Seems like just use some gasket sealer on the intake pipes joints. Only problem may be how to seal the air filter chamber under the driver as you have to take that apart to change the filter.
Thought I had them written in a notebook here.
NAPA has the stuff, I think OReilly carries some of the stuff too Went to a big tucks part store for the air dryer rebuild kit.
If you google the topic like... M92a oil filter, it will give you links to threads here. There are spreadsheets and...
If you look at a jeep wrangler, I think they started quite awhile back running a hose up from the axle and transmission up to the engine firewall with a vent at the end of the hose.
I just google any question or topic and find tons of info.
What specifically do you want to know? Check out the Wikipedia page on the deuce, etc
They were built from 1953 to 1989. First ones had a gas engine. The diesel, the multifuel, came out around 1965. The multifuel engine was built...
Renovate7,
Thanks for the post, looking forward to pics. I think I may know the driver of the M35A3.
Did you climb up the mountain top to the south at the top of Cottonwood pass? If so, I think that is called Jones mountain, big flat area on top and great views.
The east side of that pass is...
With rec trk plates, I would guess you would be fine hauling your own stuff once in awhile, like hauling some gravel home for the driveway. Just guessing, I have never been pulled over driving it but it does not leave the driveway much.
I replaced the input line going from the metal fuel line along the frame to the manual pump. My large canister filter was emlimated during a contractor rebuild. I used a hydraulic hose store P&H dealer, to make up the hose and use my old fittings. I also replaced the 2 foot long return line...
I was flipping around the channels and caught the end of them going down the road. I could swear I saw months ago on the show, a deuce in the background of one shot at Kay's house where they were sitting outside talking. I would not be surprised if Si or one of the other family members own...
The two I have registered, I do as recreational truck. REC TRK on plates. I tell them I am just using it for parades, which is true. They had me sign a form that it would not be used for commercial purposes, which also fits my situation. Plates $235 this year, plus about $85 diesel...
Bulldogmack13 and I have run with his units' marking on our deuces and5 tons in parades and displays for 5 years and never had a problem.
I think the public thinks we are from Ft. Carson at the South end of town here. We have even gone on base to flat tow other trucks off the GL lot and the...
What he said. With the throttle plate closed, the intake stroke suction is pulling air past the valves, sucking air from the oil sump area.
On an overhead valve engine ohv you can sometimes get by with replacing the cup shaped rubber seals on the valve stems but on a flat head, I don't know...
Wouldn't be surprised if it is just a lot of Humvees. The regular cops have the MRAP's now.
I feel bad for the guard and the cops thrown into this situation.
To open my hood I have always put one foot behind the bumper on the frame cross piece below the radiator and then lean back while pulling the handle.
I'm 6'4" and 230 lbs.
