OK, I was driving my new M931A2 yesterday when it stalled. I was doing about 15mph in 1-3. After stalling, it refused to start. The starter was turning and the batteries were solid. It definitely seemed like a fuel issue. There was plenty of fuel in both tanks. Unfortunately, we had 10" of...
I'm no expert on CA, but the title part would not be true in NJ or PA. Not title = no sale.
If you bob the truck, you have modified it enough that it is no longer a 91 and historic. You would then be liable to register it as is and to modify it to conform to current laws and regulations...
I was on the fence about the M1101 or a cheaper and older M105. I may still pick up an M105, but I have absolutely no regrets with the M1101. I would NOT want to pull an M105 home with the F150. I'm sure it's doable, but it would probably be a whole different ballgame.
I once drove a topless...
You can extract a little brake fluid from the truck and put a few drops in a cup of water. If it's dot 3 it will dissipate, if it's dot 5 it will form little balls.
If you combine dot3 and dot5 it gels up and can lead to brake failure and / or reduced braking.
Here is a thread you should read...
If anyone from MD, or PA will be in the area of, or passing by John Apple (Delta, PA) en route to RC, please let me know. I have an HMMWV tire I need picked up.
Thanks!
Mikey
Thanks for the advice. I have read a lot of your posts on your trailer mods. The "main" tow vehicle will be my 939, so I'll need all the height I can get, but thanks for the info.
I believe (visual measurement) that the trailer was about 4" to 6" wider on each side. Enough to see the edge of...

I did not. I moved to PA shortly thereafter anyway.
That being said, I don't know how that may apply to the OP, which is why I said "not so sure". I don't know if that was a Joisey thing or whether all insurance companies in all states are as ruthless.
Police report, ABSOLUTELY!
Insurance, not so sure.
Four years ago I was stopped at a stop sign. A nice 86 year old lady making a right turn broadsided me. We called the popo and a report was filed. I alerted my insurance company as well. She was given a citation and her insurance covered...
Yesterday I recovered my M1101 from Ft Drum, NY. I spent about four hours reading the forums leading up to my trip. I found a lot of useful info and a lot of "can I recover my trailer with a <insert vehicle>" threads. Gathering info from multiple threads, my recovery was a success. I hope...
Toby, that is an awesome collection! I've been following a lot of your posts about the dual batteries for the 939. Very nice pictures and input on that. I'll probably switch to 2 batteries also. Thanks!
I have my eye on a deuce dump truck up the road from me. It's not officially for sale...
Picked up a soft top from Kublo's and drove her home. Uncle Sam was generous enough to leave me TWO nearly FULL 100g tanks of diesel. I did bring diesel 911 and I had no issues at all on the way home. We did hit rush hour traffic in Philly and that was exciting. It also poured rain the...
I'm in. I will be there with my M931A2.
I am pretty sure I'm arriving Friday about noon and leaving Sunday. I believe my GF will be present (2 for camping), waiting for her work schedule.
215Dave, I could use a few NDT's if Shenkmen doesn't want them.
