If you're going to kick the tires on this like it's a Honda at the dealers lot, you'll never find a deuce. That damage looks like a day at Rausch Creek.
These are 40+ year old trucks. They will have damage and rust. If you want a "new" truck, go to Eastern Surplus and pay $15k. They rebuild...
Both of my deuces are soft tops. I keep them outside in the harsh NE PA winter and have not had any problems in two years. With the cost of a new soft top at about $250 (Kublo's Surplus), it wouldn't be the end of the world if you had to buy one every five years. New hard top is about $1k...
That sounds cool too. But this weekend we have the Fireman's fair in Equinunk.
I don't mind them searching the deuce. The RV parking isn't close. It's not cheap.
But the bands are awesome and it's going to be a really great time.
Can't wait to see Zac Brown!

Is anyone going to attend the Peach Music Festival Aug 10 -12 at Montage Mountain in Scranton, PA?
THE PEACH MUSIC FESTIVAL
I've purchased the RV pass, camping pass and three day passes for me and my lady.
Looks like it's going to be a lot of fun. It would be nice to see other MV's in the...
I applaud the OP for wanting to live in the deuce. I'm sure if his daughter's health or his own was an issue, he'd sell the vette, but if the guy wants to keep it and is ready to live outdoors and for a unique chapter in his life, that's awesome.
Good luck OP. Thanks for your service!
Mikey...
I buy all my parts from Ken Sr and Ken Jr. Great guys. However, call first. I heard he just sold 20 trucks to Eastern Surplus. But considering how many he had, he should still have a great selection left.
I've attached a pic where I'm leaking. Current OD of this copper is half inch. I'm wondering if anyone has gone to PVC or rubber and if there is any benefit to increasing or decreasing the OD of the line.
Thanks
Mikey
My deuce has a leak in the copper line connecting my airpack to the air tank. Has anyone replaced that line with air brake hose or anything other than copper? If so, what OD did you use?
Thanks
Mikey
I need to check the tcase in my deuce. The drain plug seems to be non standard. It is a 4 point hole but my 3/4" rachet is too big and my 1/2" is too small. Is this a non standard size or just stripped?
I ask because I have the 5 point, non standard drain plugs on my transmission, so it...
The oblique reflectivity is substantially less after one month. I do have two trucks, one with CARC, but they are a few miles apart. I may have them together in a few weekends to compare. I'm willing to bet, just by memory, that the Behr does have more of a shine, but I can tell you with 100%...
You should let the behr cure for about a month and then check again. Like many have stated, you must let it cure. When I painted my whole truck last month, it sat baking in two days of sun before it rained. I was told not to let it get wet for three weeks. My Dad called me saying the truck...
Since I got divorced I have all the time in the world to work on my deuces AND no honey do list!
But that's probably not the advice you were looking for...
Welcome aboard.
Mikey
I keep my deuces up in farm country. Everybody up there has the time and the machinery to steal the tote or the deuce. At over 1000lbs, I'm guessing they used a skid steer or tractor.
I'm happy all they took was the tote.

Thanks. I read the can but it stated nothing about thinning. I tried what I had but in the end it came out fine without thinning. That being said, I appreciate the warm water advice for future reference.
