    PN 79517, from the TM -34P. Seem to be readily available online. Edit: As pointed out by DH in post 11 above part number is for alternator found on the M1010. I should have written PN 1049930, from the TM -34P. Also found readily online.

    Not mentioned in the TM, for the '84 M1009 model, is the special tool used to remove the key, PS magazine shows how to make one. Also, as the magazine agrees with sweetk30's suggestion earlier in the thread of replacing the lock nuts with the 85-87 style.

    My pleasure, but credit to the OP for doing yeoman's work by scanning the magazines, my contribution is much less time consuming. Unless a mod stops me, I will continue to post the CUCV articles found in the PS magazine up to December 2016. ... and to finish the 1991-1992 editions.

    It's only difficult if you don't know how. May I suggest that you take your time, read and ask questions as needed. I may be mistaken, but I don't think the Gen 1 and 2 lights work in the M1010 in the OEM configuration. Post a wanted add when you're sure of the pieces you need or would like...
