I added rust proofing to my '09s PMCS. Followed the directions in chapter 6 of the Army's TB 43-0213. As a rustproofing compound I used Fluid Film, which I purchased as a kit from here. I upgraded to the pro gun because I wanted the extension wand with 360 nozzle. Used a full gallon, leaving...
Jatonka seat covers
I've had a set of his seat covers on for 2 1/2 years and they're holding up fine. I applied a fabric guard before installing and will do so on a yearly basis; I've used the product linked below...
Nice looking truck, welcome to SS.
Not sure what your plans are for it and if you have already, but I'd suggest checking underneath the rubber floor mat and padding for humidity, maybe consider removing it. Rust loves it.
This weekend I was cleaning some rims for my CUCV, I looked up for a second and next thing I know I felt something was pulling at my shirt (was tucked in).
Stay safe folks.
Here's a rebuild kit, cheaper than a starter.

Cleaning the board is option, not a bad job to do. The stickies has good threads on cleaning and repairing intrument clusters.

I looked on a spare wiring harness, and could not find one. Solid wire from the heater control plug to the fuse block, I think the TM is mistaken in this case.
Pic of similar plug at heater control
Pic of the wire.
I wouldn't expect it to be the same, if you reread AC's post above, the variables would have to be the same between both systems for similar results, not sure that's possible.
The reason for me to share the video was to show that doing the resistor bypass does not inhibit GP afterglow, IMHO...
Here's a cold start video of my '09, outside temp was 37F this morning. The 12v voltmeter is hooked up to a DPST relay, where the NC wire is hooked to an accessory slot in the fuse block and the NO side is hooked up to the glow plugs wires, so when they are energized, that voltage is shown on...
Would you mind elaborating please?
I would think that glow and afterglow is controlled by the GP card, in conjunction with the temp sender, not the resistors. I may be mistaken.
I may be mistaken but another reason for color change could be hoses disintegrating from the inside out, as well as seals in your MC.
I flushed my system out two years ago and removed this:
Flushed again last week (2 year old fluid from MC shown on right), replaced hoses, calipers and MC...
I had been procrastinating doing the 2 year preventive maintenance on the front wheel bearings on the '09, but feeling warm hubs after short drives prompted me to tear into it. Glad I did.

x3 on cucvrus's intel. When I dropped the tank on my '10 I found a section of reinforcement to be in the way removing one of the 8 bolts mentioned, had to cut the offending area with a angle grinder. The reinforcement on the other side had the correct shape, maybe it got assembled on...
