So, I'm looking to replace the open differential in the front axle of my M1009 with a limited slip differential and have a few questions. Seems to be a fairly cheap mod with used diffs going for $100 or so.
First, how many splines does the front axle shaft have?
Second, can I reuse the stock...
They are worth what an informed person not under duress would pay for them. My son seems to have a hard time understanding this concept when he wants to sell a car.
I see two possibilities.
1) engine hydro locked. Solution, remove glow plugs and see if it cranks. If it does, it will probably force fuel/water/oil out of the offending cylinders.
2. Interference with flywheel. Remove inspection plate and look.
