Fun mostly, and it's great hobby. Being able to do parades, car shows and getting into the mud are just some of the perks.

Living in an area that has so many current in-service and former MV's driving the local roads, I also conduct myself in a professional defensive driving manner.

I use a garden sprayer with some soap, let it sit a while, then rinse with a hose. I'm paranoid about causing any kind of electrical issues as well. I've only cleaned my engine compartment once....

I checked mine a few weeks ago when I changed the CDR valve. They are old, but not looking horrible....yet.
That is very cool.... I'm sure you could add a light if you so desire or if your state requires it.

Do you know the last time the fuel filter had been changed? Mine was running like poo-poo a while back, changed the fuel filter and she runs like an almost new truck. My old filter had an 07 date written on it.

Safety tip.... If you are working on anything electrical, like the TM states, disconnect your batteries until you are ready to check your work. There are multiple threads about those that didnt with horrible results. I learned the had way with my first truck.
I've not taken a sample from mine either. I have the sample valve...I just dont do it. When I do change my oil, I check the mag plug and cut open the fliter to see whats going on. I have not found anything that would get me to consider a sample. As my milage climbs, I might consider it when and...
