Dont want you to worry needlessly, most if not all 6.2's are noisy in one way or another. I'd ckeck the oil as well....

:ditto: Are you getting any valve train noise during accleration?

My first truck had similar symptoms.....It would run fine for a bit and then die. Ditto on the IP. The guy I sold my first truck to ended up tweaking the IP to get it to run right.
