    Air pak may have a fault also, I was just addressing the MC cover vent. Lots of folks just put a differential vent in the hole in the MC cover if they plan on no extended fording...

    That is your Master Cylinder fording vent on the top of the MC. If it is blocked your system will be constipated.

    When worse comes to worse and the pipe plug sticks out a little, I use a pipe wrench on the OD. Thru the years some of them get replaced with anything that has the right diameter and thread, cuz parts were authorized to be purchased off the economy in some countries.

    RE: tow Ya, and the full time four wheel drive in the Dodge would necessitate removing both driveshafts for a flat tow of any distance. The flat plate adaptors under the tow bar adaptors are for the M890 series only. Be sure to use good bolts...

    RE: Re: RE: logo In WWII US mfrs logos were omitted so the indiginous people (read Russian allies?) woulldn't know that the stuff came from us.. among other reasons. Early CCKWs had grill emblems, etc, Jeeps were fitted with Russian data plates, British #19 sets had Russian data plates, etc..

    hydroboost question

    The brake master cylinder has two chambers, one for front brakes and one for rear.. The hydroboost uses the power steering pump and its lubricant... do not use brake fluid in the hydroboost. it is fed by the power steering pump... Check your LO for the proper fluid. The units are different...

    Fuel is bleeding back to the tank

    The old O ring in the fuel filter housing trick and the rubber fuel line cracks are also culprits.. Just plumb in a 12 volt electric fuel pump with a straight thru design in the fuel line down stream from the block mounted pump and use a momentary switch to prime the system or find the leaks...

    No shims are needed because GM changed the design cuz nobody ever put em back in anyway... it was a way to get proper tooth engagement on the flexplate....I successfullly run a 12V civvy starter on 24 Volts on my Cucv... sure spins fast and starts better... my local rebuilder says it will last a...
