have your buddy turn the ignition to run while you watch the FIS to see if it snaps in.. if not give it a push and see if it holds in (engine cold not running). If it does it is ok but just lazy. I always preset mine by holding the go pedal down a ways before I crank taking the load off the...
Buy a crummy winch truck cheap and put the winch complete on your truck..with the best bumper etc.. and then sell the truck for cheap and have a winch for cheap.
So, when you push your heat lever from left to right does it move on the other end and open and close the duct? Are your heater hoses installed correctly, Does your thermostat work and is one heater hose hot when the engine is hot. or both.
you dun good... On some of my deuces the tube breaks off the soldering job (MF vibration)at the filler tube and I sweat in a barb and run rubber down the original route. I remember about 20 years ago, I bought a whole radiator shop at Fort Devens in 10 big crates and sold it to a truck...
leave the wheels and tires on and grease the floor, adjust the height with your floor jack on the axle and slide em on and off with a 4 x 4 pusher stick..easier with Soldier2 helping.

Whole system probably needs bleed and refill and exercise..sometimes they sit for years and the whl cyls get varnished in or even rusted. A slow stop could indicate a stuck piston maybe water in the trailer air system from glad hand being open to the rain for...
Be careful as that trailer is a handful without brakes on a M1009, especially with a combat load. Drop a surge brake axle with cucv tires under it and you will be in Narragansett (similar to Schaefer) City.
Color indicates that most of it is hidden in stowed position...see primer. May be pat of the lifting and recovery set for freight loading. Everybody look in their BIIL and AAL for their trucks and equipment and report back.
RE: manual
The world has come down to "the guy on Ebay" instead of the nice Dennis Spence, a founder of the MVPA, and Portrayal Press and 40 year supporter of the hobby. We are doomed!
As you check the part numbers in your 34-p you will find that the Cummins and the Mack A1 use an overdrive tranny and the M/F 5 tons use a direct drive. The fit is the same and the function is the same for non-truckers. We have a 5 ton gasser near me with the overdrive tranny, and of course...
Start digging thru your 34-Ps. There was a Federal Stock Class change as the labels indicate, so the last seven digits will be your clue. 9300 group is non metallic special shapes
We did not have the weight classification plates on the M38s and M151s when I was regular ARMY. Another collector vanity item like the water bucket strapped to the spare gas can....always contaminated with fuel spillage.
