M923a0 Unclear if I contaminated the oil during the oil cooler replacement or if I messed the replacement up somehow but it's creamy and the first few drops out the drain pan were water as in me flushing the cooling system with dawn and water. Question is how do I get the creamy stuff fully...
I'm in the process of changing my oil cooler on my M923. It says to index the oil cooler with the mark on the housing(the marks on my housing seem to be just chisel marks, nothing from the manufacturing process. I cannot see what the reason would be, there is no matching tubes on the engine or...
Any thoughts on what the issue would be? Thought my truck wasn't shifting into 5th, but it sure is, my top speed is about 53 or so at 2200 rpm. Vehicle seems sluggish to get to speed but I'm basing that on driving other 5 tons that weigh half.
Started my 936A2 up, moved it from the yard to in front of my garage to fix a fuel line on the right tank that broke off, replace a pin that holds in the heavy lift jacks and switch CTIS ecu units to try troubleshooting my CTIS doing nothing. Put the CTIS ECU from my tractor in and it actually...
My great buy on a wrecker may not be such a great buy, didn't go far since I don't have it registered yet, but doesn't appear to be shifting from 1rst gear with the trans selector in 1-5. Does the speed signal generator/speedo drive have anything to do with the trans shifting? I'm wondering if...
I spent hours pulling quite a bit of the cable off my rear winch and winding it back on, The level winder moves freely, but it still bunches up the cable and I have to manually move the level winder. Any tips on how to get it to wind the way it should? I had the tensioner on when winding. On the...
Here's my dilemma, After reading the -10 I'm unclear on how to proceed. I don't want to bend or break anything.
1. Winch control lever is pulled back to the wind position, PTO engage lever is not engaged, can't move the winch control forward to neutral with engine off or on.
2. Clutch lever is...
Look what I found when I finally got around to airing up all my tires.... Glad I had this truck towed home. In one picture you can see a properly mounted rim with the CTIS hose attached. In one picture you can see clearly the turrent is to the left of the CTIS valve, hose was just ziptied cause...
My M936A2 is missing the speed signal generator wire(back of the transfer case) which explains why the overspeed light is solid on. Having trouble finding the wire or any CTIS wiring or parts in the -24P TM's. Is there another TM for the CTIS parts or am I just blind?
My M936A2 has the end of the cable wrapped up between the side of the roller drum(where the end of the cable attaches) and the mechanism that turns the drum. I think I can get the cable out but what holds the end of the cable in the drum itself once I get it out of there?
Thanks, Bob
Had it towed to my driveway, tow operator was apparently afraid to take it all the way down my other driveway so dropped it another part. Jumped it with my M1009, started pretty good for our frigid temps. PPV is stuck, tried using a heat gun on it, still frozen. Front winch control is stuck all...
Finally got a chance to jump my wrecker which was towed home. Got it started and drove it down the driveway. None of the CTIS lights are coming on. Anyone encounter this problem before? Should I exchange a known good ECU as a start figuring it's most likely the ECU?
I need a couple/few PPV's for my 5 tons, Does anyone remember the site that had them cheap, it was either $11 or $19 something much better than NAPA. I've scrolled through a few threads on search but can't find it.
Can't see much from the pictures with the snow, but for that price driven to lot, It's a steal. I think I scored big! sub $6300.

The tractor I got has not just two serials, it has 3!!!! As with my other BMY I can't find a serial on the frame next to the steering box as I've been told.
The tractor obviously was a M932A2 as it has the winch controls, PTO, hydraulic tank ect, only thing missing is the winch, bumper...
Revisiting this topic as I noticed the LMTV has a 3116 cat with a 7 speed transmission. Anyone know what the length of this 7 speed is to the one we're missing a gear in our A3's?
Won a M932A2 listed as a M931A2 out of Sparta and once again enlisted Jeff Laumer (1-262-227-2967) to retrieve the vehicle from Sparta, WI and deliver to the MN-WI border. This guy is pretty meticulous in detailing what is wrong with the vehicle and fixing problems enroute. Highly recommend if...
