My serial no. is 977. So it wouldn't seem to be closely related Hmmm, I wonder what DMV will do about a title?

    M35A2 Transport vs. Drive

Maybe this is a foolish question, but why didn't you buy one closer to home?

    ID manufacturer of M101a1

Picked up a M101a1 from GL with no manufacturer on the data plate. Is there any way to determine the manufacturer from the build date of 1968 and contract no. DAAE07-67-C-4163 ?

It once was tan, now its blue!!!

Well, it's different but not in a bad way. I thought of doing something similar if I got a red fire service deuce. I was going to add green and white and call it Christmaflage.

    Oh The Horror

Was cruising Craigslist a while back and saw an ad for a complete set of axles taken from a "running, driving deuce". Well, I didn't need any axles but I did email and ask "What happened to the rest of the truck?" The answer? He scraped it! I hate when that happens!

Uh-oh, I feel a road trip coming on.

    GL just lost another customer.

I guess I've been lucky, so far. Ten purchases and the only problem was a incorrect VIN on a bill of sale that I didn't notice for nearly a year. Sent an email to GL, had an answer the same day and a corrected bill of sale within a week.

    Where's Your License Plate?

Here's what I did. I folded over the edges of some sheet metal to stiffen it and bent it into an "L" bracket . Then I attached it through the hole in the bottom of the bumper. The light is mounted on the bracket. I attached a standard FARM VEHICLE plate but it looked out of place. So, instead...

    Sunk

All I can say is, it's a good thing that he knows some really nice guy with a winch equipped deuce.

Good to see it home. You now have an official Texas-sized truck! The guys with those puny crew cab pickups will be jealous.

Need some help in the San Antonio area

Hey Andy, good luck on the recovery. I was wondering if you had picked up your new wheels yet. FYI Wreckerman, TexAndy has a rather refined taste in beer. This victim of the OD disease brought to you courtesy of me!

    Yeah I'm a hard head

It's all true. However, after several weeks and too much money the tires went on today! I'll let him post the pics but they look O K. The scariest part of this whole thing? The government lets him work on multi-million dollar aircraft !

    Spare tire on front

I've got the spare on the front of my '96 F350 Powerstroke. Mounted a front receiver hitch and fabbed up a mount. I was going to replace the rear fuel tank with an extra capacity model but haven't gotten to it. Haven't had any overheating problems while towing or otherwise.

Finally came up with a sig line.

Had to meet someone at Dad's farm the other day. When I rolled up in the deuce the first thing they said was ," You sure know how to make an entrance, I heard you coming down the road!". That's when it came to me; There's nothing subtle about a deuce.

    Deuce pu a success

Truck looks good. Too bad you had to deal with a jerk. When I bought my first deuce in Smithfield, VA , I brought it home via the same route. They sure sound good in those tunnels. :driver: However, I never realized how many traffic lights there are on this side of the bridge and it seems like...

    Resurecting the Manifold Heater

Well, the saga continues. Hooked up the new wire and everything runs. However, there is no flow from the pump. Looks like the filter is clogged. Of course, this means that the leak is coming from the return line side of the nozzle and putting in a new filter will probably make the leak...
