    Resurecting the Manifold Heater

This all started when I found the nozzle leaking fuel into the intake manifold. First, I needed to decide if I was going to fix it or plug it, so I starting testing components. Pulled and grounded the ignition plug and applied 24v. Got a spark worthy of Frankenstein's lab! Next...

Holy Oleo Batman - Ft Meade Prices

I was at TNJ Murray's picking up some odds and ends today and spoke to John. He told me he currently has a contract for 200 trucks with some country in Africa. If I understood him correctly, he bought all, or nearly all of the M109's at Ft. Meade this week.

Holy Oleo Batman - Ft Meade Prices

I was told several weeks ago by a MV rebuilder that there was an contract out for 1500 deuces and to expect prices to go up. Looks like he was right. No, I didn't think to ask who needed 1500 deuces.

    New Iron

The affliction continues to worsen. Here's last weeks additions. The deuce came from Lakehurst, where the guys on the lot seemed almost more impressed with my Bronco than I was with the Deuce.( which came with troop seats, bows, shovel and ax.) The M37 I grabbed off Ebay for what I thought...

Question about burning used Motor Oil as Fuel.

    Looking at a Backhoe?

As far as backhoe specific parts, I'd say leaking cylinders, worn pivot pins and a weak pump would be the areas of concern. Rebuilding cylinders isn't cheap and you might be surprised how quick those hardened steel pins and bushing add up. Also, check for parts availability. It...

    New Iron

The addiction continues; My EUC has cleared for the M105 trailer I bought several weeks ago and yesterday, I won an auction for......another deuce, both in Lakehurst. If this keeps up, I'm going to need a bigger farm.

    New Iron

I bought a new ride from another member here and after several weeks of scheduling conflicts finally went to pick it up on Sat. It ran flawless for the five hour, non-stop drive home. After introductions to the rest of the family, it was time to get to work. Drove over to Dad's farm and...

I just scratched the "itch" .......

So you're the guy that took my truck! Ten?? Now that's just being greedy. Oh well, I didn't need it that bad anyway. After all, I haven't gotten the first one home yet. :)

To fix or to part out ?

Hi everyone. Just brought home a '53 M37. It runs, but....it has been flatbeded, fuel tank changed, converted to 12 volt, most of the original wiring harness, switches and gauges are gone, carb and fuel pump changed, windshield broken and front fenders rusted away. What will be the pivotal...
