I have some calamari, can I get some?
Welcome to the site, ignore the trolls. There are a great bunch of guys here willing and able to help. If you still need help with your 5 tom let me know, but B-rad is your best bet locally, and he'll hook you up.
The only negative I've heard about...
h3ll scott, I wanna watch us put on your lmtv top! I'll bring my baby welder, some cutting blades for the grinder. You'll need some (12?) 4 1/2 bolts (I'd go with 3/8"), some washers, and decide if you want tube steel mounts, bolt on to the side rails, etc. If you go with usable for either...
Glad you can make it Scott! It's not a rally without you.
We could do a lmtv cover project?
Stuart! Bring a heater! You're gonna miss out on some of the finest smoked meats in Graham!
Wayne!,
The CTIS has an air dryer on it, so condensation isn't a problem. If it's working properly, it isn't constantly adjusting the tires, it just checks them, so it shouldn't be doing much air removal and replacement. Mind you, I did say IF it's working right. Typically the CTIS vavle...
Hey! I heard that scott!
Bring it on over! with two people, I bet we can be done in 1/2 hour. If you're tying it to your troop seats, pretty easy. If you want to make mounts, might take us a bit. Mine were made out of 1 1/2" angle iron and spare 1" bolts ( I probably have enough for...
Just down the street! I'll see about bringing a smoked pork roast. Might even go get some other meats to smoke. Any requests?
Anyone need a tan LMTV tarp kit? :-) (need being the operative word here, since christmas has arrived.) I also have a now extra old m35a3 tan top with bows and...
Hello!
Well, I got my cover installed on the m35a3c. I have some news.
The covers are NOT incredibly long compared to some of the camo colored ones I've seen. I mounted the lmtv frame on some posts I made from old 1" bolts and some angle iron. In order to get it to fit, I had to trim 5...
Yep, you may need o rings for the valve stems and o rings for the tires. These are what I ordered last time from mcmaster carr for the big oring in the tire..
Buna-N O-Ring AS568A Dash Number 388
Haven't had to order a valve oring yet.
Oh, the great tire debate! I love this one!
In the revered days of our forefathers, the many cried out for bigger tires. Hearing their pleas, the mighty minions of rubber created ----
Bigger tires.
And it was good. Some heathens spoke harshly of the bigger tires. You don't need them...
Don't forget patracy. He does tires all day long and has been a great source of information. I really really love my 395's though, and it makes the A3 a lot more drivable. If you were closer, I'd have a couple you could use, but you're about as not local as you can get. SOrry!
Stuart, you can't let bears hibernate that long. They wake up grumpy.
Sundays work for me! Saturdays means Jodie can come along.
Scott, what do you need for your house? I know a little in that field.
That's genius motomacguyver. I wish I had thought of that before I took the wheel off and replaced everything, but I found a leaking xring, so it's paid off already. I had connected an air line to the hollow stud and pressurized it and immediately the ctis started honking, but no air leaks...
Hey Jaymcb? just a maybe here, but take your tire off and check the air line going to the hub there. Or have soldier b stand by the tire and listen right there. If the hose is loose or leaking heavily, they will hear it when the CTIS starts cycling. It can also be the seals on that hub...
I'm going with Gary on the CTIS. It's rarely the valves, so my CTIS is all connected and I inflate through the schrader on the ctis valve. It does on other thing that helps, though it doesn't sound like it at first. If your outer axle seal is loose, it will leak gear oil out the ctis valve...
IR ti2135, takes off 800lbs. puts on about 500. Keep that in mind for the drivers side nuts. Just a hint. :-) So far, it's the only 1/2 inch impact that worked on my a3 rims, so I'm rather attached to the gun.
Can I throw a monkey wrench in? You've got a A3 don't you Patriot? so, you have two brake systems, and I remember something about an adjustment for the two master reservoirs that balances them out. Might just be that.
