I will add to what zebedee has.
Pro #7 or (2A), Allows full use of the flair leads, maximum off angle pulling with no rope stacking.
#8, Actually makes it easier to "one man" the winch when pulling.
#9 Reduces rope tendency to pinch in lower lays, therefore reduces potential damage to the rope...
Wild,
When pulling out the rope with a level wind, be sure that the tensioner is OFF or you will never get it out. Also when winching the tensioner should be off. It is only for winding when you have no load.
Yes, 180' of 5/8 rope is heavy and a lot of work any way you cut it.
What Swiss...
Excellent work.
My metals guy says:
Low stress/high cycle fatigue.
Been cracking for a while.
aka Rotating/bending fatigue, fits with the noted movement and dimensions of the front bearing. Bet the other bearings are in spec.
Good advice, be seen. Reflective tape is good, hazards on is BAD and illegal in many states. Remember the brake lights do NOT work if the hazards are on. Interstates are 40 MPH minimum, if possible.
Secondary roads are best.
A new IP may very well not have the low speed fuel set. (Idle screw)
This is generally a field adjustment.
Use the throttle lock, say 3 clicks and try again. My LDS requires that to start, after 15 or 20 seconds she will settle down and idle just fine.
Guys, does anyone have a source for an M-37 Canvas Cab Top in the older dark dark green?
All the new tops I have seen are the light green and that just ain't right.
Thanks
Your attendance at the Gerogia Rally is . . . . . mandatory. . . that way we can properly drool over your new toy, discuss the various lies about womem jumping deuces overhills and the fact that they cannot be stuck (really?)
Truck looks good, bring her to the rally and see just how much fun...
Really, the Spicer is only designed for 300 ft-lb??? (This is not a loaded question, just seems, short.)
If the OP has torque concerns, go with the trans out of a 5-ton, clerance may be an issue.
