Guessing either my intank pump is shot, or I have the wrong filters... not getting any flow into the lines with the truck power on, but then agian I didnt fill them before putting them back on... but with accessory power on, I dont hear or feel anything coming from the fuel tank, so I'm taking...
Ken, you're the man. I'm in Sugar Land, so if I can borrow that, or even better and get an extra set of hands to help, I'd owe you a lot more than your choice of malt beverage. This week is goign to be murder on me, already planned to do the oil/fuel filters and flush the coolant system on top...
After some playing offroad this weekend, and a few panic braking incidents (stupid drivers on the freeway), noticed about a 6" wide puddle of grayish water/grease/sand mix on the ground. Smells faintly like gear oil (slight sulfur odor) and noticed the rubber boot on the back of the hub...
Going to be working on the truck tomorrow, replacing the belts and oil/fuel filters, and need to get the part numbers to check with local places if possible. I know I can search, but I'm out the door to drive the beast up to a friend's place to work on it tomorrow. Thanks guys.

Speaking of.. I bought my graduation present from a member there. a 1970 Skylark GS455 Stage 1... I miss that damn thing 8)
congrats Wade... your plan played out very differently than when I had talked to you last, but this should be just as much if not more fun than the old Deuce
Took the truck through some stuff I'd say was about a 4 or 5 out of 10 on some trails this weekend and had some guys in front of me let me know I was shooting sparks under the hood. When we were at the bottom of some declines on the way back up, there would be the loud, horrible...
right on.. there's lots of these type shows around Texas though yearly, aren't there? Between the stuff in Killeen/Ft Hood area, BCS and Houston/Galveston there's quite a bit of OD iron on display, I would assume
Luckily, its not around the core, but around the top "cap" or resevoir, around the edges of the top piece and underneath the passenger side where the top line goes into it... Repairable? or time to look for a recore? :?
In positive news, my "blowby" leak has subsided, and in 2 weeks of...
