What's your clearance Clarence?
If this helps at all, I believe the DLA in Battle Creek, MI is part of the DOD.
Somebody in the guv-mint decided the deuces now need a de-mil certificate
because of iridium in the dash gauges. I would think the 5 ton 800 series trucks would have the same gauges...
wrecker price
Watching GL, they seem lately to go for 10 to 12 k rather consistently.
I did see a nice one go for 8 k in the last few months,
I about cried. Even 10 k seems crazy low for some of the nice
ones that come thru GL.
uh
I don't get this. I could use a single deuce top and live right near Ft Carson
but did not bid because I cannot use or dispose of 4 of them.
Help me Mr. Wizard! What did I do wrong? Nothing. I shall go on.......
I'm breaking dude!
I spent a year and a half, everyday, studying, reading, on this site before I bought a
deuce.
Watch GL, study it nationwide carefully and study this site and the wisdom will come to you Luke.
Patience is short in this one Gimby.
adjust crank for 72 degree temp
Thanks for posting the pics, love to see the old wreckers.
On the link below, Jay Leno shows off his 1946 IH fuel truck
and it has the same kinda crank for the AC.

1946...
beware
Wouldn't that technically be a ' Deuce Crossing' sign?
If you see the same type sign on the road with the silohutte
of a deer or elk on it, that does not mean those
animals park there. :-D
At Ft. Carson here, they have the same type sign
with a tank image on it, on their street...
location, location, location
just my two cents, since you had asked.
I looked up your area, La Harpe, on the Kansas map in the Rand McNally.
Appears you are located in the Southeastern part of the state of KS.
Is that where you wish to put a military vehicle museum, at 40th and Plum?
(40...

Don't remember any military places around those spots but
boy oh boy are you gonna see alot of beautiful country and
amazing places. Check out the train museum in the roundhouse
in Durango.
Enjoy!

Truck looks great. Would you be able to do a close-up pic of how the
flag pole is attached to the bumper? What is the flag pole from, or made of?
I need to do the same US flag set up on my truck in order to have it
flown correctly as per rules/guidelines.
In other words, the...
as we wait
As many of us probably wonder....
according to specifications prepared by the
uh-thor-it-ties
.....how many deuce gauges would it take to make
a respectable device to cause LEO's to turn gray with worry?
Northern Command (homeland security) and
NORAD are here at the south end of...
Yes Rad
I would like to be a fly on the wall and listen in on the discussions
of these brainiac guv-mint folks making the
clearance/de-mil decisions
wherever they took place. To now start up this delay around
March of some of the trucks sold that have the iridium or whatever on
the gauges is...
cheaper than a M101
They seem to go for less than the M101's.
They are one heavy trailer, empty weight is 2,750 lbs
if I recall correctly. I state that mine.....
is just for accesorizing my deuce, dont really
need it, its just for looks when doing parades, etc..
suggestions...
you asked....
maybe lose 30 or 40 lbs. :)
I am just looking out for your long term possible health issues.

suburban
as I posted in some other thread, about 4 years ago I had a 1997 3/4 ton 4x4 Suburban
with the 350 gas engine, 4.10 axle ratios. Would cruise at 90 mph
on the interstate, did awesome in deep snow. Bad thing was it only got 11 mpg all the time,
but I loved that truck and want to own...
not exactly a military town
Nice truck!
Enjoy.
I have a sister and a brother-in-law that live in Boulder, about two blocks East of that National Guard unit on the northern edge of town.
I would bet you will be getting some dirtly looks from the
residents and driving comrades of
the Peoples'...
pay way in advance
bulldogmack13; gawd bless ya for selling me this here deuce.... if I win the powerball, I would really like to hold on to Fred. Great running and great condition truck. For some reason I wanted the winch truck at Ft. Carson with lower miles and; nicer, cleaner, clearer...
What is the deal with Batttlecreek, MI office? Put some more people on staff or sumthin. I am waiting so I can go pick up a new to me deuce with winch.
I have people that want to buy my current deuce now but I need a truck for displays with the local Marine Corp League so I cannot yet sell my...
