keep your seals wet with fluids
Interesting stuff fellas. I make sure I at least drive my deuce about 10 miles every two weeks for similar reasons, to keep all the rubber seals in the drivetrain, etc. more supple and pliable for less leakage and better sealing.

Stories from the dry pavement.
Another sobering fact about these here deuce things is that the rear 8 tires drive together as a unit, as opposed to the tractor of your semi that you run only the back axle on, and only engage the other back axle in snow, etc. Makes for faster tire wear on...
one of the elders speak
I was on this site everyday for a year and a half before I bought my first deuce at age 47, from bulldog_mack13 when he was living here in town. Great truck, no problems. Read on the site everyday and learn stuff. Go to college have fun, chase girls, get a large...
tough to meet multiple wants when on a budget
I agree with the folks above. I used to drive mine to work, 11 miles one way, about once a month. I get tired of all the shifting in city traffic. Now I just take mine out to displays and parades, and up the street to the carwash about every two...
I was always interested in mechanical stuff, growing up I made friends with the older guys in the neighborhood that were working on stuff in their garages or driveways. They were friends for decades and taught me a lot of mechanical stuff and helped me on my projects. After highschool I went to...
Rosie O'Donnell
Mr. Curmudgeon writes: ok you guys that think this should be an exception to the US Flag code.... What if it was Rosie O'Donnell wearing the flag while she sat on the hood of the truck? (I know, the hood would be dented) We would all be hurling and stating that this is againt...
no candy policy, good policy, for parades
Just about all the parades I do have police holding folks back, even motorcycle cops going up and down the line making sure folks stay back. I too am worried about crushing somebody. I used to participate in a Mardi Gras parade in St. Louis, not with...
2nd gear, low range
The local Marine Corp League adopted me two years ago when they saw my truck on display at a gun show. I do 4 or 5 parades a year with them and we also use it for displays at some of their functions. They pay my truck storage costs and slip me funds for fuel a couple...
chutes and ladders
tv man 007;
Have you studied the threads here about EUC time? Lots of good info here about how to play the game overseen by the
Ministry of Collabaration on Obfuscation.
If you are waiting on a truck with the radioactive gauges, e-mail DLA (google on them for their...
forgot
...for the above post... that is the other funny part of this game, some trucks slip right thru. I guess that if you get a player at DLA that did not get the code F memo, they move the paperwork right along. A fellow MVCC club member got his deuce in April this way, right away, but...
the time value of money, efficiency, wasted labor hours, etc.
Yes. It appears the game they enjoy playing goes thru certain steps, as I have learned on this site. First the paperwork sits with DLA for 60 days, then you can nudge them to pick it up and look at it, and then they ask GL for the...
he said, she said, regarding deuce gauges
I got a nice email today (Wed) from some woman at DRMS, said sorry for delay, said needs info from GL since these trucks are coded F and they have sent a request to GL for that info. I contacted DLA Monday after waiting 60 days past, EUC submission to...
GL to DLA to DRMS
I sent an email to DLA on the 61st day, a guy called me and asked
for some more info so he could find my EUC, he said he would send it
on now to DRMS. I said ok, but I have no idea what DRMS is, but from
what you folks have been talking about in various threads, I hope to...
water weight
Jim,
just my two cents...seems like if you had about 1000 lbs of weight
over the back axle of the dually, it would work pretty dang good. Again like you said, you are not in a hurry, the trips would be planned and thought out.
I followed Matt S. in his deuce up and back to...

Jay
I knew you would see this and start crying.
You and your family really should come back here.
We had a great weekend at this event and the number
of vehicles sitting there all weekend was amazing.
Really good organization by the officers of the club too,
to...
