I saw one of these up close on display at a community thing in August, came from Ft. Carson, soldiers let kids climb in it and even get into the seat for the roofmounted gun. Vehicle was huge for just 4 guys to run around in, or maybe 5 with the guy in the roof. I would not be surprised if the...
more machinery underneath
usually 800 to 1000 for all the winch parts, usually closer to 1000 from what I have seen. I had fun for a couple years with a non winch truck but my newer one has a winch, that is why I got it, just cuz they look cool, but man there is a lot of extra machinery in the...
stuff to think about.
just throwing this out for the heck of it.... how are the brakes, how old is the engine coolant and all the other fluids. I recently got a 1987 ex air force deuce at auction that was very neglected, but only has 14000 miles on it.
The fuel system tank and 3 fuel filters...
Yes to the hose. Some call it a slobber tube, it vents the crankcase, etc. It comes down from the valve covers. ID of hose is 1.25" I believe. I just got some clear hose of that size from Lowes and put it on there. I cant remember
the length I got to bring it down even with the bottom of...
this and that
My steering wheel has big cracks where the spokes meet the outer rim and you can see the steel in there, doesnt bother me.
park brake, maybe slide under there and look at it, it resides on back of transfer case, maybe you could take a spray can of brake cleaner to it, see if it...
owning military trucks made in this century? hmmmm, that'd be different
I dont know any individuals on this site ever mentioning having one or any talk of it. Just pics posted of them sometimes. We just deal with old crap the guv-mint has given up on. :D
part is parts
There are the two bumper extension brackets needed, the winch, the driveshaft, the pto that fits on the transmission, the linkage that goes up into the cab from the pto, the plate that fits on the cab floor that tells ya what mode you are in with the lever in the cab. There are...
life in these United States
I get real hard stares all the time when driving around, like... what the heck is going on that the National Guard or the Army is in our hood? It's fun, lots of people enjoy them, especially the vets. Oh the stories I could tell from the displays I have done and...
in case this helps ya
"EUC clearance time for prior buyers" thread I started 8/5/10 in there is lots of info and how to play the game. good luck. Just keep reading the threads about EUC s and you will see what to do to try to expedite it. No guarantees.
Best of Luck to ya:beer:
Unforgiven, you will be fine. Maybe read up on the FAQ's on GL's site, look around on there on their site and it will all come to you. Like somebody said above, when the EUC clears, they will send you an email. You have within 10 days of that email about the invoice to pick up. I believe...
fyi
ok. this is just to relay info in case it helps somebody, sorry in advance for any rambling. What I did on my summer vacation by G-dawg Mulligan:
I won a deuce on 7/8/10 at Ft. Carson here in town, from what I read on this site, it appears it was ok to contact Battlecreek, MI after 60 days...
Pikes Peak or Bust
I think it has the dual circuit brake system, I have not crawled all the way under it yet to check that out. I found an artic front for it, folded up under the passenger seat.
I have not taken a deuce up Pikes Peak but that is something I have been thinking about doing for...
Ya run into a lot of nuts and freaking idiots in most large cities whilst driving.
Best to be prepared by at least being in a full size pickup for when
ya get hit by these idiots. I spent 29 years driving in the St. Louis Metro area,
know what ya mean. One of the worst places I have experienced...
Sorry no pics from today but just wanted to give a shout-out to Crash_AF for helping me recover my new-to-me deuce today.
Joe met me at Ft. Carson today with his 1 ton CUCV and I was driving my current deuce. We used his slave cable and his pickup to jump start the new beast after I checked the...
