I was reading about that in the ops manual last month, Even on real cold days, no I do not. I let it start, idle for a moment, then give the throttle a tap to get the revs up. It has been pretty warm here in Va. Up until last night.
Evidently my cold idle sensor is working. Just started up the truck, tapped the throttle and the rev's went up, then back down after about a min. Not sure why it wasnt working before.

I do not think the center console was standard for the CUCV's. The few that I drove while on det at army bases didnt have them and neither M-1009 I have owned came with one. ( or anything fancy other than heat for that matter )
LMC truck has them, I got mine from a junk yard.
Holy cripes.... Once upon a time when I worked little airplanes, I saw a C-172 that the owner "re-wired" the instrument panel..... Nightmares!!!! Good luck with that hot mess
Mine flickers with lights and heater fan going at idle only. Turn blower fan down to one notch above off, and it stops. Both of the the 1009's I've owned flickered with electrical system "loaded up"
When I first checked into my current squadron ( 2004 ), we would go to Ft.Knox several times a year. REALLY enjoyed the museum. And other places around town. :beer:
I used the rustoleum bed liner. I put down two pretty heavy coats. I waited about 8 to 10 hours before I put my stuff back in.... when I put my footlocker O' spare parts in, some of the coating came up.
