    Having some Problems with a 1970 M35

    1. You can reprime the system without changing the filters but if they are dirty you should change them. The primary is NAPA 3512 and the gasket should fit. Secondaries are 3117 and gasket is 5070. 2. Sounds like a ground problem. 3. The switch to control the lights is next to the steering...

How often do you use low range

I use it almost exclusively around the ranch and use it often with split shifting on the road. I always start in 1st if I start in high range. The goal is to put the least stress on the transmission and clutch because I incur the cost and labor of fixing it and want it to last as long as possible.

Front axle seals and boots stepXstep

M275? What will it cost me? Pictures

Maybe that thing on the intake manifold in the picture is some type of odd pre-heater? I've never seen one like that before.

    Parts source recommendation

The weird part is none of them got gear oil on them even though the wheel was completely soaked in gear oil. The pads were fine so I just reused them and adjusted them and man this thing stops when I push the brake pedal now. For the vents I'm going to run lines up to the cab or air filter so no...

They may seem okay but can still build pressure. I thought mine was okay when it popped up and down and when it started leaking immediately after i replaced all the seals i got fed up and took all the vents off and no more leaks :D

This is how my A2 is. It had a few drips from the seals sometimes but on the hot days is when the wheels would get drenched in gear oil and I had to break it down at that point. I've noticed the hubs run way hotter on the hot days too.

    Front end shimmy ...shake?

It's the nature of A3s. The CTIS shields cause the wheels to be unbalanced. Some guys put extra bolts on the other side to balance it.

If you've driven stick before it won't be hard to get used to driving a deuce. I learned to drive stick on a deuce :-D Just remember to shift slowly and smoothly with these transmissions.

How did you guys drive home? documentation?

I got pulled over in my M109A3 because he didn't see a plate. He just looked at the temporary and sent me on my way. I just wear camo when I'm driving them now.

Can anyone identify an airshift transfer case from an interior picture?

Anyone spot what's wrong in the picture?

Front axle seals and boots stepXstep

Yup. You knock the retainer out and then the seal. I used a pipe through the differential to the other side and a few whacks and it was out. Then I took the retainer and put it on the vice and tapped the seal out with a hammer and punch. To put the new seal in I put a bunch of RTV around the...
