I went with a local Farmers agent for my M35A2 and M109A3 after doing some searching and coming up with dead ends and crazy prices. The guy knew trucks pretty well and knew exactly what deuces were so I'm sure that helped. It's $22 for 6 months for each truck.
If you take off any of the rod bolts you'll need to put in new ones. I saw in previous threads about thrown rods it may have been from reusing old rod bolts that stress fractured and it was just a matter of time before they let go.
You're new to the deuce but you'll get the hang of it. I remember a few years ago I didn't know anything about deuces but now I can drive and park it better than my cars :D Do like already mentioned and it will be smooth. I personally give it a little fuel when letting out the clutch to keep it...
Same here! Saw that movie when I was a kid and decided I had to have one. Many years later I have 2 of them. It's great to make childhood dreams come true. It's also fun to take out girls in deuces.:D
2600RPM is the redline:shock: You took the cover off the FDC or the one on the side of the IP under the hydraulic head? The linkage under the latter can stick and cause problems like this.
You can still have crew served .50BMG like the M2. I believe you can also have .50BMG rifles as long as it's disassembled since the law is against shoulder fired. And I doubt if someone is shooting at you they would care about gun laws.

I am taking weight into consideration. The 109 box is pretty heavy already and adding the floors and cabinets add a bit more weight. I'll also be pulling a hard top M105a2 with extra fuel and tools on my long distance trips, so this setup will be heavy. Before I added anything it was already...
