Mark, Wheel bearings! Clean and repack. Don't let them sit too long They will rust on you. The duece's front axle will need a teardown. The axle shaft bushings will need a cleaning and repacking also. And of course pull the axle fill plugs and check for water.

Like Waller i too use the 75-90 syntec. I've put just over 160K in this truck since 1999 with no problems. And countless hours at low speed in the woods. I know mistik makes a MT-1 90W gear oil. I have seen it at autozone. But i've never tried it.

If your fording more than just a river crossing or just being under water for more than a few minutes. I sudjest lossening the fan belts. The fan and water pump will love you for it. And the water your fording will chill the engine rather quickly anyway.
The UPS truck that comes here everyday has 6 lug 22.5 tubeless wheels on it. I don't know where you would get new ones though. That way at least you could run tires that you could get replacements for at any truck stop.
