How deep are you planning to go? Rember that cat motor had some eletronics controlling it. First you will need to make sure they are eather water tight, or relocated. You won't need the bellhousing pressurized like the A2. You have a auto tranny. You will need to run vent lines from each gear...
It's a ramsey. I'm asuming someone in the past broke the original. Everything else is still military. Finding a original winch to put back will come later on.
It's a new camara. Im having trouble at posting pics with it. Hopefully it will be on the road in a month. I too wish he stayed with the old stlye camo paint. But he after sanding down to the 24807 he had to put it back there.
Is this a 1009? or a 1008? Also check the lift fuel pump. At the passenger side front of the engine block by the oil pan. The diafram could be torn and not pumping well. Starving the IP. A replacement is $15 at the autoparts.
Does anyone run the rear outer seals in the front hubs? I'm trying to stop water from entering the front wheelbearings. I have selectro lockouts on the front and they are no where near leak proof. I've replaced o-rings in them and they still leak. And i'm convenced it's the lockouts becaust when...
The LDS will have the starter on the drivers side. Along with the large sump of the oil pan at the rear of the engine. The LDT will have the starter on the passenger side. And the large sump at the front.
Yes, You might just have a LDT with the oil pan swapped around and a bigger belhousing. Someone correct me if i'm wrong, But the camshaft and Injection pump are the same. The Difference on the pump is the fuel rate setting. There are one and two hole injectors. Meaning there are one or two...
They originally did. But one thing i've found with rebuilds is you never know what you'll get. The engine he has in the can has a 2 1/2 ton turbo on it. With a adaptor for the ton exaust. I have also seen them come with stickers on the oil filters indicating they have 2 1/2 injectors installed...
Wouldn't it be easier to just install the 2 hole injectors onto your engine? Then turn up the fuel rate to match? Other than the oil pan, and bell housing, and injectors these engines are the same. And the wastegated turbo of course. You could keep it as a spare or untill your engine wears out.
