For an upcoming road trip I wanted to minimize fuel costs so I mounted an extra Deuce fuel tank with pump in the pass. side front of the Deuce bed. Pics show transfering junk yard gas into the tank with a 12 volt pump with two filters. I pumped 5 containers plus 5 qts. of oil into the tank which...
I found this radiator shutter next to an old Deuce radiator leaning against a tree near the parts truck scooter and I have acquired. Brought it home and juiced the heck out of it with penetrating oil and have managed to get it to operate manually. It is spring tensioned to stay open and there is...
Two questions.
1. What is the relationship of multifuel RPM'S to engine hours?
2. What is the relationship of multifuel RPM'S to turbo RPM'S?
Anybody know or can point me in the right direction?
Thanks,

I picked up a Gov. issue mechanical 0-80 PSI oil pressure gauge that I am going to install in the instrument panel, even has the slots so the dash lights will light it. What are your thoughts on the tubing I should use to connect it to the sender port? Copper or synthetic?
Thanks,

Does anyone know how to make these headsets with the two prong plug work with a VIC1 control box or cable to eliminate the pesky snap type "bailout" connectors?
I had someone ask me if there is a way to put a tach on a 4a032. Just the engine, no genset attached. My first thought was some sort of an electronic tach with the sensor attached to the flywheel, ring gear, starter rope pulley etc.
Any ideas?

Does anybody know if the forum has hidden anywhere instructions on how to install the electronic ignition upgrade on the MEP 016a gensets? Or does anyone have a set of instructions they would like to share with me?
Thanks much,

Although not an MV in the picture, a good example of how things can go wrong around powerlines if one is not careful!
Driver was attempting to throw a cable over the logs to secure them. He hooked the power line instead. 7200 volts direct to ground. Driver noted that tires started to fry almost...

Need help figuring out if this set is AC or DC.
ONAN, MDL: TP-5A4-DC, SN UNKN, 6. 0 FLOODLIGHT GENERATOR SET, TRAILER MOUNTED, DIESEL ENGINE DRIVEN
Not sure if the DC in Mdl. # indicates DC current or is just a coincidence.
Thanks,

Coming home from a job today saw this in a local busines parking lot right up the street from my house. Had apparently been forced into a guardrail about 300 yds. up the street and they were removing the protective plates that cover the CTIS fittings on both passenger side wheels as they were...
Happened to catch this plane at local airport yesterday. Snapped a few pics and was driving away then saw pilot getting in. Snapped a few pics of him putting on his parachute through the chain link fence. Then managed to repark and get a few of startup and heading out. None of takeoff-too far...
I can not believe the disrespect ( perhaps I should say lack of respect, not sure disrespect is a good word) shown here for our good friend and gentleman and one of the Forums best resources , Kenny Engle. You know what I am referring to.
