I tested my RT-524 yesterday on 52.25Mhz with the owner of my local NAPA store who has a radio in his Jeep. We didnt have time to set up a long distance test so he was on one side of the building and I was only about 200 feet away on the other side of the building in a downtown location. Just...
I know that there are good pictorials of doing rear wheel bearings and rear brakes but when I search for them I come up with subjects such as corgo cover options and other crap! I've got pics from the TM etc, but know there are some really good posts with tips and tricks I want to find. I don't...
I'm aware that idling these generators can cause failure of the voltage regulators. I have one of Kenny's old ones and was tinkering with it this AM. I got about a 1 or 2 second run out of it with starting fluid with the gas shut off. I didn't want it to keep running until I had the answer to...
Anybody know what the proper nomenclature for the wire wound style brakeline on the rear of a Deuce is. Am trying to locate a source for it that might be within driving distance.
Thanks,

Pulled my passenger seat yesterday and noticed that the grommets that go in the punched out holes in the cab floor for the cables to the slave connector had no rubber left in them. They appear to be a combination metal/rubber insert but all the rubber had rotted. No serious chafe yet but long...
My friend Jim was driving his M135 with REB kit today and had been about 20-25 miles already when it suddenly decided not to go into 3rd or 4th so he went the rest of the way home in 2nd. Seemingly had been working well, had just pulled a fairly long hill in 3rd at about 30-35 MPH, stopped at an...
After using all the derusting tools in the arsenal, and priming with Red Rustoleum and to avoid expensive paint, shipping, hazmat fees, etc, I painted the finish coat using a Sherwin Williams anti rust enamel. Took one adjustment to the formula to get a color that was a good match. Problem was I...
A little gem my MV buddy Jim has in his shed. All parts there. Needs assembly and new oak bed boards. If I had more time I would definitely help him get it together. I think it is a great rig :D

Any possibility of dividing the Photo Gallery into smaller galleries based on vehicle type and a misc. section. Even with DSL loading 190 items is time consuming, can't imagine what it is like for the dialup guys

My friend Jim has an M416 in very good condition that someone is interested in buying and he is curious what the going rate might be for one. Any ideas out there in Steel Soldiers Land based on recent sales? :?:
Thanks,

Anyone going to the small MV vendor event at the Lowell VFW Sunday the 11th. I'll be going with my retired CWO buddy arriving approx. 1000 hours. Small group from what I hear but going to go check it out anyway.

Tire size questions keep coming up and up and up and up..............., perhaps enough so that a sub-category under each vehicle section might be of some benefit and then when the key ?'s are answered a sticky or something with max. sizes, height, width, offsets, backsets, hubs flipped, hubs not...
From seeing various lists of parts needed and from other sources this is a tentative setup I have come up with. Some connections and pieces and parts have options noted. Please make any recommendations, changes etc.
