What can anyone tell me about these radios?
Signal Corps U.S.Army
Control, Radio Set C847/U
Motorola
What vintage, power, used in what vehicles etc?
Thanks,
BC
The top bows that came with my non-dropside bed are too short. They are approx. 70" long. It would appear that they should be approx. 75 1/2" long. Would the short ones perchance fit a dropside bed? If not , any suggestions as to what they might fit? Maybe a trailer, M37 etc. Any thoughts...
I posted in the radio section also, but is there a "proper" ant. mount for the Deuce or does it depend on the radio installed? I see STEAMYNACHOS wants to know also.

Anybody have an old style horn button setup they want to part with? One of the three locking tabs on mine is broken. Also, the rubber horn button itself is not very flexible any more so I could use one of them also.
Thanks,
BC
So my question is, how is the multifuel engine designed and built to be able to withstand running at say 200 degrees with an exhaust manifold temp significantly higher and then be driven into 50 degree water for fording and not suffer serious immediate differing contraction rates of the various...
Two pics of an XM211 a fellow MV'er just acquired. The rest of the pics are of vehicles that he may be selling soon. When I find out I will post if anyone is interested.
A Deuce load of Thank You to Towerguy1. Knowing that I wanted a dropside bed after our trip to Lewiston, he very kindly gave me first dibs on a dropside bed that he and Carguy had found at Spencers boonyard( that's a boneyard in the boonies). It is in very good condition, complete with all troop...
Do you guys that don't have fording kits have the outlet for the air compressor on the backside of the air filter housing plugged. I'm wondering if that would let enough air in so that the 2x4 trick over the main inlet wouldn't work to stop a runaway engine.
I'm sure that it has been posted here before but I'm not exactly sure what the main flaw is with that engine.
Saw one the other day with a turbo. Just curious.
Anybody have a civvy Part # for the flexible brake lines for the front brakes of a Deuce? Want to have a couple in hand before starting work on the front brakes so I don't have to pull one and then go chasing them down and try to match up with something. Only a guess, but probably not to hard to...
Any lame and totally impractical excuse to use the Deuce on a great day I can come up with I'll use it :) All I had to pick up was an exterior entry door a customer bought.
Is there a way to make the TM Titles green as are the Manual #'s on the left and the Edit This on the right in the TM section. Tired eyes and bifocals y'know
