That looks like a fuel leak and not oil. The only places fuel can come from is the hydraulic head or the top of the viccosity compensator. (Not counting all the tube connections.) There is a pair of "O" rings that will dry out and crack in the head. That is not a bad replacement job and can...
DH, We always used a test light to set the timing on mags with impulse couplings.
Power the light, and when the points open the light goes off, that is the timing point and where the coil fires. The impulse snap is very close to that point but not exact. The impulse has to start before the...
The flange side (not compressor side) cracked on both sides in line with the slots for the clamp fasteners.
I will bring the camera home tomorrow and get pictures. Just happened to look at the inside face while it was off, compressor was getting a new base gasket.
It would have been ugly if it...
Ok, this is getting irritating...
Looking for information on the split air compressor pulley.
1. How many different sizes are there?
2. Is the belt center line different on the different pulleys?
3. How many different pulley thicknesses are there?
4. how many different clamp configurations are...
Motorcar, I also appreciate the insight on the fuel screws. But, and please comment, I was told, by a very respected source, that the droop screw was where we should be making the adjustments because the main screw is part of the max RPM fuel issue. Yes it will increase fuel but will at over...
This Holland hitch is very similar to the 5-ton hitch, dimensionally.

So whats the proble with anchoring the winch truck by the pintle? If you do not exceed the pintle rating seems like the logical way to anchor if a suitable anchor is avaiilable.
That is what we use when we double up recovery vehicles?
Now I gotta know?
Did not get to the installation of the spare. The plunger sleeve was not properly engaged on the plunger sleeve pin. Pump was not able to fuel.
The shop that did his work found the "mistake" and made it right.
Now it runs.
Now to get mine going, I am having big iron withdrawal........
Rats on the incident.
Just curious, did the shaft not make noise when you started out?
From your picture the shaft is installed backwards, reverse it when it gets replaced.
There was no other work done except the pump rebuild.
I have a spare that I could try and we are just about at that point. I do have another item to try this evening or this weekend.
I gotta get Squirt running some time amongst this. Not to mention getting 50's M-38 back together and...
Well, no DUH moment. The timing is right on and still no fire.
I have one more creative thing to try and then it is pull the pump back off and back to the shop.
FWIW, I did change the pump to 180 out and all it does is puff smoke.....
At this point I am open for wild and crazy thoughts........
