Well thanks for all the suggestions guys. I am hoping to avoid cutting the lines and going to a socket......
And yes.....it still has the gasser fenders that are bears to remove and that darned tank is VERY in the way.
Gimp, I also have one of the old open ends, I will give that another...
So the IP has got to come off and go to the shop..... it leaks everywhere.
Does anyone have any suggestions for getting the injector lines loose at the IP head?
So far I have destroyed two wrenches (yes appropriate line wrenches) and have only two of the line nuts off.
They are currently soaking...
This sounds more like an adjustment problem. HAve you confirmed that the TO bearing is completely clearing the PP fingers? Is the PP sitting fully against the flywheel?
What RPM does it slip at?
The SS family makes for a great bunch for a rally. Many thanks Clinto for getting and maintaining this wonderful event.
I have very little to add, I said most of what I wanted to at the rally, and even (I think) yelled some, hope no one was offended by me being loud.

DH, check the dimensions on your stops, and let us know.
Still wish we could locate a...
DH, as we say in the forensics group, always takes more than one thing to go wrong at the same time.
That is great that you discovered the problem. Stuff happens.
To respond to your earlier question, I have used the winch and level wind for years, never ever even has an itty bitty problem with...
So glad nobody got injured.
Have you ever adjusted the end stops on the level wind?
I use a winch equipped with one on a regular basis and woud not consider using it without the level winder and tension device.
But as with any equipment, improper operation (for what ever reason) can be more...
Good info. For general purpose reference, it is standard recovery practice to assume you can pull a MAXIMUM of 75% of the winch truck's weight, with wheel chocks and locked brakes.
Note that two (2) lining the winch cuts the winch load in half, but you still only have 75% of the truck's weight...
