Mine got up to 2 months so I had to contact Battle Creek and get them on it. It was the GL site not sending the demil F certificate to them that held it up.
They don't care at the French Camp site, you can drive it off no problem so towing it should be fine. $330 was the best price I found, the other trucking companies wanted upward of $600.
I'm in Northern California too and I've been driving mine without a heater and I stay plenty warm. That engine puts a lot of heat in the cab, with a heater I think it would get too hot.
When I fire up my deuce with C turbo, all the animals scatter except my parents' stupid chihuahuas. They don't mind the noise, they've even had a Mexican stand off with a dump truck:o

Similar thing happened to me. I was turning left at an intersection in high range but when I tried to shift to second it wouldn't go in and it slowed down so much I had to put it in first again. Happened to me twice that day. This was only my second time driving it but I am getting better.
I tore my right front down the rest of the way today and I have the same axle and it doesn't look too old. Some of the brake hardware looks pretty new as well. I can't get the seal retainer out with the slide hammer so I guess I'll have to pull the other side apart and drive it out with a pipe...
