Well if you tie to a Jerry can, it'll probably empty it into the machine before that is a concern (with a 9 gallon tank on an 803, you might actually empty the tank before the high level pump shutoff is hit.. Which will make the pump run on and on and on).

It bows out the sealing edge. There is a small vent/bleed hole on this item, to equalize pressure draw as well.

Yeah just need to find a belt tensioner that fits into the spot where the alt was, to retain the factory belt (or any belt, if you end up needing shorter). Thats why I have a dual bank onboard charger... it keeps the batteries topped when not in use, and if my alternator were to fail during run...

The flywheel on the generator has teeth for a 24V starter only (the 12V Lister Petter/Onan starter will engage differently). Past that, you would need to convert everything in the DC system over. Not feasible or cost effective. If the alternator is toast, you can leave it in place but unhooked...

I think what you are looking for is an MEP-805A. The 805B is the unit with the screen.

Yeah never seen that. Id pull the roof and side panel near the convenience outlet and just see where its all tying to.

You might even want to consider resetting them all, one at a time. Its easy once you understand exactly how the position of the entire metering pump assembly actually controls the flow of fuel. And how to position the fuel rack to pick up each pin at the right position. To do it right, you will...

Are you certain its not diesel fuel? I would suspect that you have seeping/leaking fuel return lines since its up top. Certainly a valve cover could leak.. but I've yet to experience it. I have experienced every conceivable leak from the return line (and the Ts they tie to) up top though.

This. Its a mechanical oil pump in this engine, so it isn't pumping unless the engine is spinning. Your machine is working correctly.
