If you'll notice the bracket is sitting on top of the frame rail. Just unbolt the bracket and stick it under the top frame rail and put the bolts back in. Just above the starter, there is a relay mounted to the engine block. Get some one to push the button and see if it is clicking. Mine pulled the same stunt. Worked when warm but nothing when cold. But cold here is about 40 deg! Anyway this relay went bad on mine. So give it a look see.

If you can get a slide hammer bearing puller you can put the hook/fork in inside and give it a few wacks. They usally pop out pretty easy this way. Some auto parts will lend them to you with a deposit. Otherwise you can pull the other side apart also and use a long 1 inch bar to knock them out...
