I stumbled on this web site a few minutes ago. www.lasmer.com They show to have deep water fording kits for the M35 series. Mabye someone can call them during buisness hours and see if they sell to private parties and if so how much are these kits.
Lance, I just bought a NOS front harness from tactial truck. It fit perfect. They are for multifuels so if you swap just screw it on at the firewall. I bet he still has some more.
Try taking some cold water and pour it onto the injection pump. If it starts then the ring is bad and you'll need to have it rebuilt. DB2 pumps are famous for this.
I've ran a lot of commerical made bio through my 6.2's with out any trouble. I've been told that b100 will gel at 35 deg. But it rarely gets that cold here so i don't know. They told me to add at least 20% diesel to it to counter act this. You may need more up there?
I hate to say it, but your probally going to have to fab one yourself. I can get the NSN and you can do a search but it's going to be tough. I lucked out on the ones for my trucks from a guy who didn't know what he had. They are pretty simple. The most expensive part will be te regulator valve...
Putting a duece in a mud hole is like throwing a rock into a pond. It will sink fast! Put a 5 ton in a mud hole and it's like throwing a boulder into a pond. You get the idea. We use dueces in the FD because they are easier to turn around in the woods. The longer the truck is the tougher it is...
My towbar must be the "heavy". It has 4 inch tubes and weighs 307#'s in the scale at work. It has solid pipes so you can't adjust the length. Is this the one for tracked vehicles?
I've found that if let the oil sit undisturbed for at least a week most water will settle to the bottom. I only draw oil from the top of the barrel by putting my barrell pump up high. I use coffie filters from the containers to my barrels. This traps most sludge and clumps. Before i got the...
On the scoop, My dad said they used to turn them around in germany because they would clog up with snow. And you would freeze untill the convoy stopped and you got a chance to clean it out.
I've got a M197. If you need help with how the plumbing for the brakes go just let me know and i'll get you some pics. But i would just run your glad hands strait to the trailor and forget the dollys brakes.
I swappd a motor for a company in tyler about a year ago. They bought 4 engines that turned out to be really big paper weights. I strongly sudjest you look at the lot or get somebody to look for at it you. Also look for the condition code. A B C etc. I'd hate to spend that much on bad engines.
Man i thought you were taking pics in my yard! Looks like we have the same toys.
Glad you stepped up to a real truck! Does it run? Will you keep it gas?
