Now that's ingenuity! LOL......Now I know how I'm going to get all the gravel out of the M923A2 bed when I need to work on the driveway without shoveling it all out..
Air tools are our friends....... Didn't have any problems getting the nuts off or the shorter rim. I had the large rim suspended from my wrecker and got pretty far off, couldn't get it all the way off, lowered it to the ground and the rim went back to starting over.....LOL. I'm going to get...
All I know is I'm having a bitch of a time getting the large part of the rim out of the **** tire on a M35A3. About ready to throw in the towel and take it to a shop. Good luck.
Most likely not the oil cooler. Oil pressure is higher than antifreeze pressure. Oil in the coolant is probably oil cooler. One of my trucks a 923 had oily coolant when I picked it up from Camp Ripley. When it got hot it would force coolant/oil out the overflow from the coolant reservoir...
Situation resolved. The gentleman who sold me the towbar kit came through and supplied two 5 ton feet. Just need to make up a bushing as the hole on the feet that attaches to the towbar is slightly larger than the IBistek pin.
Thanks, I won't escalate it yet, this gentleman appears to be concerned and trying to fix the situation. I don't know whether he forgot to put those feet in the kit or what, which is possible, cause it wasn't the original crate for the kit, but he appears to be rectifying the problem. I probably...
Looks like I was suckered by a member here. I was told he checked it on his truck. Interesting since the MATV feet he told me fit just fine on his 5 ton truck have a hole a lot bigger than my 5 tons. If he doesn't make this good he will get called out and PayPal and/ or visa will be disputed.
I recently bought a Ibistek complete medium towbar kit and paid a premium AFAIC. I cannot figure out how the towbar can connect with a 5 ton, the ends are 90 degrees off of where it should be?
I'm assuming the ends they come with are the proper feet?
Follow the directions in the TM, it's real easy to get a false reading on the level. Not like your normal vehicle, just pull the dip stick out and it's right. Slowly pull it out, wipe it off and do it again slowly. Then say ****, WTF, and do it again.
I've found when there's a lot of the same vehicle going up at the same time at the same place, the better. Also winter is better...I got my wrecker for $6150 IIRC.
The A3 deuces have power assisted steering and automatics, but still the 5 ton(A2) power steering and 65mph+ top speed win out in my book. If you buy a deuce be prepared to drive slowly. About 52 is wound up on my A3.... If you buy an A0 5ton, 55 mph is about top speed with much less fuel...
That's exactly what I was going to do when I purchased a take off from someone with a supposedly bad PMU. I tested the takeoff and it was good so i just swapped out the entire PMU. I'm sure someone would sell you a bad PMU cheap, Seems a lot of people just eliminate CTIS, chances are slim all...
