Okay I just went ahead and filled it with 15w40, wife took it for a drive, Temp stayed right at 180-190, checked the oil when we got home, looks okay so far. I need to drain the water/dawn a time or two more out of the cooling system probably, I have no clue how long the Army was operating the...

How do I get the creme that used to be oil out of the engine?

M923a0 Unclear if I contaminated the oil during the oil cooler replacement or if I messed the replacement up somehow but it's creamy and the first few drops out the drain pan were water as in me flushing the cooling system with dawn and water. Question is how do I get the creamy stuff fully...

Spare storage on M936 and M936A1 trucks...is there a difference?

A0 and And A1/A2 are different. Its in the TM's. Even the "boom" is different, obviously the tire weight differences required more strength in design.

Just bought an M923 and I have several questions

I would say normal, there's a big difference in noise between A2's and A1/A0, one of the reasons I prefer the A2.

How much general maintenance required for 923?

15,000 dollars for a 923???? Are you on drugs? Does the truck come with some gold bullion in the BII? I have a M923 with legs for only 10K shipped!(sarcasm but seriously if you want to pay 15K!) Sad to see people falling for the crazy inflated prices. That's two now recently. Now if the DOD...

got screwed on an m939.... crap

Well I don't know about you were screwed rather that you had blinders on, I think you failed to research at all on this vehicle or what to expect for your money. I've never seen NDT's or an AC unit on a 923. These alone scream redneck rampage to me. Plain old 923's on GL go from 2000 to 3000, I...
